tis a shame
Iād say thereās more activity on ggpo these days.
thanks for the info. lb2 is too good to dieā¦
How to deal with P. Zantetsu as P. Amano? Cross up B and footsies with C make it feel like i canāt get anything out.
Well this is a tough matchup for Amano I think. I think the best thing you can do is low jump C to defend against crossups. Also, you should be able to sneak out a down A or back A betweeen blocked down Cās.
Try what this guy does: http://2dfighter.com/freeplay/2DF%20FreePlay%20Client.application?replay=24/2008/303/12877_13228_128697317726042500.2df&p1=dfggggx&p2=danube6235
He manages to beat a pretty abusive Zan player badly using P Amano.
Iām abysmal at this game but i love the pace and feeling of it. I think the system, in total, is one of the most advanced and interesting iāve played with. Iāve been playing a few friends but we decided to expand and see who is on GGPO and get games with people who know what theyāre doing.
To get some interest for the game and maybe a small community to play on GGPO I made a group on allisfighter. Granted the site is a mess and essentially myspace/facebook for 90% there are some good people on there and iām hoping to snag a few and get them to try it out and spread the word.
The group, in case anyone here is on allisfighter and is interested in simply āThe Last Blade 2 on GGPOā
The best way to become better is to get your butt on 2df/ggpo and play other players. Itās likely youāll receive some pretty harsh beatings from the better players, but youād likely get that in any online fighter youāre not too experienced with. If you enjoy the game and stick it out youāll improve quickly. Unlike the communities of many online fighters the LB2 community is mostly made up of players who are respectful, helpful, and excited to see new players. Hope to rape, I mean see you online soon.
Yeah I have no problem getting my ass handed to me. Played a guy in 3S last night who was great with Urien (and the game in general) and I asked if we could keep playing even if I wasnāt that much of a challenge. I quickly picked up a few things from playing him that have helped a lot. That and he was friendly.
I see you on aif Ginko, you should join. Itād be nice to have someone with a good bit of experience to discuss things with.
Itās nice to hear you have that mentality. Itāll help you grow more quickly than you otherwise would. I mentioned it because people occasionally donāt react positively to playing 50+ games without winning a single round. Depending upon a new playerās skill level itās wholly possible to lose that badly to the better 2df/ggpo players. Iād say it took me about a year to play Kyokuji without being completely overwhelmed. Iām fairly competitive by nature, and at points I strongly considered quitting. Hit me up on 2df or ggpo if you see me. These days Iām usually using the username Mifune.
Bump for knowledge. this thread canāt die.
Anyone here interested in a 2df tourney? Iām thinking about setting one up with a prize of some sort. and still debating my ruleset.
but it would be impossible for some people to play each other because of high pings.it wouldnt be a well rounded tournament i think.
by the way iām new here and hi everyone =)
(dracula_x we just played in 2df 2 minutes ago,my nick is lastblader,i dropped off the net sorry we couldnt continue)
Well we could do 2df/ggpo if that would work better for people. Itās just eaier if everyone is using the same client.
You got a nice Hibiki btw.
Iāve only played against Char and I think his name is Shura. Canāt deal with Zantetsu and Akari for beans.
Iāve uploaded some videos to Youtube if anyone is interested:
LB for life
Iāve yet to come across a source that has complete information for speed combo specials. This post is intended to supplement the relevant section in Kyokujiās faq, and fill in any gaps. Iām pretty sure itās without error, but if you spot one pm me and Iāll edit the post.

Pretty good matches
Hey looks good mushishi. I did find that both a b c 2c 2c 6bc and a b c 2c 2a 2c 6bc work for Mukuro however.
It would be really cool if you also could add into the FAQ which Speed Combo Specials can be ācanceledā and comboed afterwards a la Akari, and what the best followups are for the launcher speed combo specials.
If you wanted to do that and needed any help Iād be more than happy.
R-MOON won the Invitationl 2009, too goodā¦
