Last Blade 2 Character Guides/Advanced System thread

I have only 4 matches with Yuki they are from those “VIP” tournaments. I thought Kyokuji had already uploaded them all but I was wrong.
2 of them are these:

The remaining are Speed Yuki against Speed Washizuka and Speed Shigen
If they aren’t the same Dracula_X have, I can upload them all.

BTW, 4 weeks ago I have uploaded another ranbat www.youtube.com/results?search_query=LB2+match+2nd+Alpha+Station+Ranbat&search_type=

Good to finally see a Setsuna player in the Top 3 :woot:

Thank you very much Soh and Dracula_X.

Yuki may be low tier but I just like the way she plays.

Yeah that’s my Youtube account lol. Here’s the other 2 videos.

So is there a big community for this game? Every time I’m on 2DF there aren’t many players from the U.S. I’m really enjoying this game so far (which is odd, considering I can’t stand SNK games).

I’m on there at night mostly. Get ahold of me via msn or aim if you want to play

Im on and I play. though I am quite bad. haha.

For reference I play a nub tastic
S-shigen
S-Amano (just cause it’s more fun that P plus beastly speed combo!!!)
P-Juzoh
p-Lee (still learning lee, can’t get the cr.k to st.b link very often… but still cr.k x 3 to qcb+k does hella.

The North American scene has pretty much dried up, and it’s never been very big during my time playing (~2.5 years). If you live on US West you might be able to play with people from Mexico, Central/South America and get decent pings. If you live on US East, unless things have changed dramatically over the last 60-90 days, you’ll have trouble consistently finding games under 150ms. Most of the active players these days are located in Korea and Chile.

GGPO could do quite a bit for the game’s scene, since you’d be able to play all the good Japanese/Korea/Chinese players with 1-2 frames of delay. But that’s up to Ponder.

I just wanted to mention I was hitting all my lee links yesterday!! It was dope, Lee is a beast.

Why is it that you have to press A + B in order for Kagami’s link to work? Is it some sort of kara-cancel?

I’m assuming you’re referring to Kagami’s :l::snka::snkc: link. To my eyes it seems so difficult to pull off consistently that I have difficulty believing it was intentional. Personally, I’d put it in the glitch category. However, with some characters it seems that :l::snka::snkc: allows otherwise impossible links, or at least (from my experience) seems to widen the frame window when compared to :l::snka: links.

Yeah, I meant A + C. Oops.

Hmm, that is pretty odd. I thought it was some sort of cancel, but while playing a bit more I realized you can’t cancel the starting frames of normals in this game (isn’t it that way with all SNK games?).

That link is rather difficult to time but I’ve seen several people who can pull it off consistantly on 2df, as well as the countless in Japanese Tourney video’s, so its by no means impossible. Just practice until you get the muscle memory.

I never said it was impossible, but it’s exceedingly difficult to hit consistently. I played LB2 online for roughly 2.5 years. I saw exactly one player hit kagami’s :d::snkc: :l::snka::snkc: :r::d::df::snkb: link consistently during that time. That was Kyokuji, and I think he hit it roughly 50%. Bobo-da-homo, and Kaede hit me with it once or twice during lengthy sets. That’s it. I’ve never seen another player (aside from myself) hit it online let alone hit it consistenly. I’m able to complete the combo 10-15% offline, but that probably drops to 1-5% during an online match. Out of the tournament videos I’ve seen, even the best Japanese players seen seem to only be able to complete the combo somewhere between 50-75%. I’m curious, who on 2df can hit it consistently during a match?

EDIT: forgot to include the :dp::snkb: at the end. Hopefully that didn’t cause any confusion.

I’m sorry I don’t remember the exact person. I’ll have a look through my matches tommorow to see who it was, who did it last. You have to remember though that mame is alot different than nFBA and many things that werent’t possible before are now possible.

Heck I can ever help anyone with setting macros in nFBA as you can now set something like 5 custom macro keys which should be enough for anyone.

Edit: Played MGear1 today and he can land Kagami’s power links fairly consistantly.

2df has okay delay as well. Ive seen people do most of the harder links… and such, even hitconfirms or like hitting juzohs max damage swing into fireball stomp I’ve done myself which I use some visual cue’s for.

Name MGear1
Rank 305
Wins 33
Losses 154

This guy?! I find it highly doubtful, given his record, that he’d be able to consistently hit one of the most (if not the most) difficult links in the game.

Just so I’m sure we’re talking about the same thing here. Are you referring to the following link?
:d::snkc: :l::snka::snkc: :r::d::df::snkb:

Typically this would be the full version of the combo
:d::snkc: (x 1-3) :l::snka::snkc: :r::d::df::snkb: :hcf::snka::snkb:

If he’s consistently hitting the above with a record like that then something is REALLY fishy. If you mentioned a played like ipoemi or someone on his level I’d be more inclined to take a look.

I’m MGear. Like I said, I just started playing recently (about 4 days ago). Kagami’s link really isn’t that hard.

LOL! If you say so. So, since there are replays for every 2DF online match, can point out a set where you consistently landed any of the previously mentioned combos? I’d REALLY like to see that.

I never said I can consistently land it, but I would say I can get it half the time (as long as my converter doesn’t ignore my input). Considering I started playing Kagami yesterday, it can’t be that hard. Just check my latest matches, I guess.
