It’s possible to play in home mode on NFBA, but it’s a bit of a hassle. It’s actually an issue with the BIOS but it can be worked around.
On the subject of 2DF I think it’s quite nice.

well like i’m trying to do it in a combo after f+C, dash, back B, dash down up C and i dunno i’m just not fast enough or something, i’ll keep trying though
oh and akari has rdp C
The :d::u::snkc: follow-up is corner-only, and you don’t need to dash before you do the uppercut unless you’re too far away for it to hit.
Mid-screen, just do :r::snkc: x dash x :l::snkb: x :qcf::snka:
For anyone who hasn’t already tried 2DF (www.2dfighter.com), you owe it to yourself to give it a shot. I’m on the US East Coast and over the last few days I’ve played players in Chile, Japan and Russia with an acceptable level of lag, and I’m more picky than most. I don’t think I need to tell you what kind of doors that opens from a competition standpoint.
Kyokuji would you be willing to come play Last Blade 2 with me at T10?
Working two jobs right now, so probably not. Just started a bit ago too, so I doubt I can take time off to go anywhere.
I need some time to get used to playing LB2 on stick anyway. Still having trouble dashing left consistently, and you need to be short dashing/hopping back and forth constantly in this game otherwise you’re gonna get killed on spacing.
Need some people to play on 2df
Not really corner only, but hard as hell mid screen:
1st round. Not the same thing but close.
He also does it off of a guard cancel a few times in some of the vids.
I’m down.
Fuke’s P.Akari is just so amazing to watch. Watching those videos is what first inspired me to start using P.Akari.
P. Akari can be pretty nasty if your execution is good. :d::snka: becomes very annoying along with the rest of her zoning tools, and her
:d::u::snkc: gets stupid invincibility, cancels into her DM and is a pain in the ass to deflect.
Well, that was off a ground-air deflect. You have wayy more time to run in there
I think we were just talking strictly off her ground chain.
I find most people really don’t play her effectively. I remember playing bobo (when he wasn’t bombed/fucking around/hung over/etc.), and being like “Fuck me! She’s nasty”. I haven’t seen many players who use her as effectively as he did. WTF happened to him anyway?
He went back to Marvel then lost interest in playing online, I guess.
I could use some ideas about countering Moriyas teleport glitch. Its retardedly broken.
If you can dash in quick enough you get the back B to connect, you can dash Down up C. It’s just really hard. It has to do with where you are when you hit them with the Back B. Like if you’re right under them when you do the Back B, it’ll work. Kinda hard to explain, I’ll make a recording of it soon. Though you could just do Dash, Back B xx Dm, which is lot more practical anyway.
For Moriya’s teleport glitch, don’t stay on the ground. Worst thing he can do is DP you or reset you with a light slash – both of which do crap damage. If you just sit there and try to block, you’re gonna be in mix-up hell forever. If he’s just using it to stop you from punishing his chains though, there’s not much you can do outside of red-parrying his chains earlier (which isn’t really practical).
Thanks for the suggestion. Now, do you have any idea about what causes staggering overheads? Because those are annoying as fuck.
Overheads stagger if they hit while you’re low blocking. Otherwise, they launch. If you’re ever too late to block an overhead, but you’re still conscious enough to try and do something, just hit a button or try to jump, and you’ll get knocked down instead of stunned and comboed.
I’ve been working on my defense a bit lately. I took Kyokuji’s advice regarding blocking low unless you spot an overheard coming. I’m not sure if this is true for all types of controllers, but on my gamepad it seems that releasing the d-pad and repelling is significantly quicker than switching to a standing block. It’s still not to the point where it’s second nature for me, but I’m working on it.
Thanks, Ill keep that in mind.
