very good post…me and my buddies are trying to learn this game and this guide has bin really helpful
Shit if anyone wants to play me over mame Holla at me my aim is NokturnalGlow
Was cursing really necessary here? lol
great vid, that china vs japan showed some really incredible high level play that you don’t come across too often. shame i cant fight against any of them. living in japan seems pretty dope, doesn’t it? well, minus the earthquakes and tsunamis.
I’ve been playing LB2 for a while now, one of my most favorite games. Up until now I’ve been playing S.Setsuna, but about a month ago I switched to P.Shigen. Definitely made the game a whole lot more fun for me, trying to figure out stuff with him(haven’t seen any vids besides the chinese player with that 5v5).
We should really run a tournament for this game at this year’s evo, and make people attend for it
shit, just cali or ny has got more competition than most of the west of europe thats some fucked up shit. lets not even get started about the netherlands.
A few decent players frequent Godweapon in the US. If you’re looking for LB2 competition that’s a good place to start. If you’re in the Netherlands you should be able to play P2P games vs US East players with acceptable levels of lag.
Substitute the word “I” for “we” in that sentence, and I’ll agree wholeheartedly.
Hmmm… I’m thinking of hosting another lb2 tourney.
Maybe the old veterans will come back?
OK, the tournament is posted on Shoryuken, let’s see how many ppl will join.
I am new to LB2, just picked it up two days ago. I was wondering the difference in EX mode. I used it a few times, and from what I saw you take damage like a bitch. Is that the only thing and is it a acceptable handicap?
The EX mode takes the best of both worlds, power and speed. You can super cancel, sdm, and speed combo, and have the fast attacks like in speed. The trick is to use it properly.
The damage is probably the only thing that makes EX mode “worse” than others. You have to be very good in blocking and deflecting in order to use it properly. Or you can just try to avoid getting hit. You also want to minimize the chance of giving your opponent chances to punish you.
Most people don’t use it because of the damage ratio.
If you just started, I would say to pick either speed or power, depending on your preference.
Thanks
I am up for a few matches anytime, but I do play some MMO’s so if I do not repsond please do not be offended.

Sounds cool. I’m sorta retired from lb2, for now, but I am still active within the community. Check out the tourney I hosted yesterday:

Keep in mind, you can’t :r::snkc: cancel in EX.
Soh has the China VS Japan videos up on youtube now:
6 match set of the Japanese preparing for the event:
China VS Japan 5 on 5 - 17 match set
I’m really impressed with the Japanese players Tak and R-Moon.
This set had a very bad sound quality, so I’m uploading it again with a new method, first match can be found here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=geT7GqSgva4
The remaining 7 will be up as soon as possible (probably tomorrow).
@Kyokuji: please change the old link with the new one in your post here: http://forums.shoryuken.com/showpost.php?p=4886999&postcount=228
