trying to proximity os the kongo cancel ultra is what im trying to do nowadays,…(EDIT) oh and so above is just a nice back to back os to play keep out in footsies, which I must probably end up using some weird ass shit like above in order to pull it off, but if that’s not what you were getting at… im always looking for some new perspective

I think what you have would work, but it going to be HARD as hell to do b/c of the input. It might be easier to pull it off with kongo using the kongo input glitch.
If you cancel a move, it has to be done during active frames and the proximity os has to be during the recovery frames… so this actually should work game mechanic wise and the inputs shouldn’t over lap… so try it this way.
Instead of using this as a combo tool which doesn’t seem to do do much but open Gouken up (it might be good vs. focus attacks though, but lp palm is normally good)… use it as a whiff punisher with st. mp. > mp palm.
I haven’t got it to work b/c I’ve been busy AF, and I only spent about 5 minutes doing it, but I don’t see what’s stopping it from working, but I have seen stranger shit, so I wouldn’t be surprised.
Try this input. whiff punish st mp > os buffer mp palm > your proximity OS. What should happen is if the mp connects per whiff punish, you’ll get palm (this works already) and if it doesn’t connect during your recovery frames your proximity os should kick in if they try to punish you for trying to whiff punish.
You’ll have to be pretty quick to make it work. I imagine it would be easiest with U1 since you can overlap the inputs of palm and Ultra 1… I kept getting GF when I tried to use it with EX Tatsu. I think the game was retaining the dp input from mp palm and transferred it to EX Kick, so instead of tatsu i’d get flip instead
Shit is stupid hard to do, but it should work. Maybe somebody with more time or better execution can get it to work… in fact this might be one of the few time the kongo glitch would work in our favor.
In one vid posted w evil eryu in the lab I was just fdash and bdash but buffering kongos on either side then I added an extra button , which turned in to an os, shit wad getting deep at that point , but I used shortcuts only in that vid, ex kongos and such was part of the title…
but back to the above, I’ll try it tonight, I’m like consumed with it right now.

Look at this bullshit. Capcom fucked with the hitboxes. Happens on Chun and Rose. On the flipside is that people who used to be able to block the hadouken were Rose, Chun and Fuerte, Fuerte gets hit now and you have forever to confirm. And I mean forever, like 16-17 frames now.

As far as I can tell right now, yes for the new characters. That same ex dive kick setup works on Viper, Guy, Ibuki and Cody though. That’s been there since v2012. Rolentos hitbox is just really weird.
I haven’t checked f.st.mp yet but that hitbox thing is only on counterhit. She gets hit normally with cr.hp hadou. But when you ch her and Chun, it seems they’re not out of their ch animation by the time the hadou gets to them and it passes right through.
