Bc of that change how are you supposed to effectively crouch attack and still cancel to dp… You’ll have to stand and then do the dp motion, but if some one is crouching a lot of the times you have to crouch with them as you combo them.

Why can’t they just use Hcf and db d df f when they are doing cr. mk > hado to avoid getting cr. mk > ark??? You start cr mk from down back and it’s like magic. No srk!!!

As long as they take that damn shortcut out, I’m good. Getting random kongo and even worse, getting random tatsu when someone crosses over me and I try and sweep? Yeah, they need to remove that shit asap

I think people get srk cuz no one stands in one spot when playing footsies, they’re moving back and forth. Move forward slightly, cr.mk, hado will net you a dp. Even then, I say people should just get better execution. Everyone knows the game has input leniency. Better your execution and stop complaining lol. No one that plays Ryu should complain about shit.

Does NJ.HP > st.cl.HK > st.mp xx palm work? I imagine that’s more damage than np.hp > cl.st.mp > cr.hp xx palm

I believe it only works on select characters? Deejay definitely, cant be too sure on who else cuz I would never use this combo lol

But to answer your question, yes, it does still work.

Works on a ton of characters according to what I wrote but I never tried it in the game once 2012 came out.

I have, I just totally forgot about that combo. I stopped playing for a while.

That combo is easy 350+ damage with a jump in meterless. 500+ in the corner with over 800 stun with no meter and denjin.

In spite of all the foolishness around here, I still figured I’d put this up.

Anyway… This set up is an unblockable/hardtoblockable or whatever the hell you wanna call it. Blanka has to block it by pressing down towards or he get’s blown up… However, you can do this with command dive kick and take away that option as well.

It avoids ALL of his reversals by whiff or safe jump… and if he does Ultra you can land and block accordingly.

I only used sweep as the OS b/c if you are using Denjin and he Up Balls out you can Denjin him for it.

If he does Rainbow, you recover from sweep and he’s unable to cross you up even if he brings it back to you so just block it or punish accordingly.

Electricity is stuffed or safe jumped.

Horizontal Ball Is stuffed or safe jumped.

OS Roundhouse his back dash… and if he EX’s out just confirm Up Ball or Rainbow and blow him up.

FYI… you have to hit the late frames of his wake up b/c he wakes up a little late and his hit box shifts.

Gouken will safe jump. :), he might even stuff it.

It’s either one of the two… Either way Gouken is immune.

The timing is hard to do, but if you miss properly you just faux him.

I want to say all but 3 or 4 of the cast can’t get out without giving up something.

For this one it is… But if you land far sweep then you gotta hk flip.
