KwonHo: Fist of Heroes...MMO Fighting game!

This game isn’t bad. It feels incomplete, but it’s in beta so I won’t go there.

Anyone here think judo is useless? I think it’s the only class that can throw crouching characters, i guess that’s a plus. But other than that, it’s pretty weak. No good inside moves to set up a good mixup game.

Anyone else use TK?? The most damage i’ve been able to squeeze out of a juggle is 67 and 69 on ch. 236G+K,p,p,p,k = 67 dmg and 236G+K, p,p,p,p+K = 59 (IIRC) but it knocks them pretty far and rings out easily.

Are stat resets going to be implemented in the game?

I downloaded the client and installed and all that jazz, but when I click “play now” in IE7 it says: “Connecting to Server Please Wait” and then it gives me a “FFFFFFFD” error “Necessary game information cannot be retrieved.”

Any Help is much appreciated?

Has anybody noticed the different juggle properties on the edge of the ring?

I was trying to do bf G+K, P P+K K+G in the middle of the ring and could not land it, but when used as a ring out juggle, the K+G hit.

Yeah, near the edge there’s like an invisible wall that separates ring in and out which lets u do combos that don’t usually work. Altho by then they’re prolly rung out anyway ha.

yeah i noticed that yesterday,when you do the TK bnb off of the high launcher the last hit will usually miss, but in the corner it connects.

There’s one thing I noticed though with streak matches. Some players with ultra high ping join some streak matches and refuse to leave, it keeps disconnecting us mid game and restarts the game.

Just some quick stuff that I noticed after playing for an hour or so.

  1. Wtf is the point of tai-chi stances, they are about right next to useless. Like you can catch some people off guard but they aren’t that great.

  2. The tracking on strings seems a little too good, I was having trouble sidestepping out of a bai quan string when I too was bai quan, I just did the df+P+K, but still. Also on a bai quan note there launcher is hella slow, but it looks like you can maybe buy a move that does crumple stun or something, and then follow it up with a launcher or maybe even the god fist combo?

  3. If your going to have stances why is there no command to just go in the stances outside of strings? That seems kind of lame, but meh thats just nit picky.

There may be some other things I’ve forgetting… Umm like maybe it’s just me but I have trouble fast crouching to do things like the df+p+k with Tai Chi.

But yeah overall I really think this is good and with some more work it would be really great!

TC is powerful, the stances are quite scary and you can lunge forward or launch an opponent into an air combo. That and it’s really easy for TC to combo you out of the ring. Sidestepping isn’t all too powerful, you have to be about 2 characters away to successfully sidestep something.

On a side note, anybody find a more damaging combo for MT than 37?

I think :qcf: P, P, P P P+K might work too, but :qcf: P is so unreliable…

Yeah, no one blocks low, and then they complain about how cheap you are.

And no one can beat me. True story. If you want to attempt to beat me, go whisper McFierce and see if you can kick my ass.

One thing i noticed the closer the your opponents ping is to yours, the less lag there is. Even if you both ping 140, there won’t be much delay. If the pings are like 20 and 90 there’ll be tons of delay. I think the pings are actually pings to the servers and not the actual players, which leads to the question, where are the servers located??

Remember those combos on that “invisible” wall for when the maps with walls are available.

I do kind of wish that the MT throw didnt ring out, but I guess that gives that silly knee attack a mixup quality … in the corner… which i find myself in a lot… cuz i run away

a lot of throws ring out, as well as combos. TK’s 4G+K throw rings out when your back is facing the edge and TC’s throw rings out.

So I am guessing that gyms are going to be the guilds/clans of Kwon Ho?

Any idea on when these will be implemented? And who wants the arduous task of making the srk one.

Notes:

Muay Thai does not have a good low attack considering how there is little to no hitstun on just about every move in the game. d+G+K seems to be OK if you connect it for the followup which seems to be guaranteed if it hits deep, but there is a lot of startup frames to it. PPPdK is solid because the dK part knocks down.

Could anyone confirm if there’s anything else in the closed beta in regards to skills and more items. I’m level 8 at the moment and I’ve been watching some of the Korean videos. I see some skills and items that are definitely not in the game shop right now. Are they gonna be there as I level or not yet implemented?
