Also, Heroes do less damage now, and as far as I can tell, bajiquans Hero is safe on block. You can probably sidestep the last hit though.
Right now I’m pretty displeased, but it’s still kind of fun to play with people I know. I’m think I’m going to pm Jaquio about stuff and see what the future plans are.
The only “tweak” I noticed was TC’s hero skill.
I’m thinking of giving up on this game. We wait patiently for five months, and this is the shit we’re rewarded with.
It does suck pretty bad as it is now but the real question is do they realize they messed up? The 5 month wait into a shitty game isn’t a big deal really. They didn’t have any feedback on the changes they were making during that time so it’s no surprise to me. What’s gonna make or break KwonHo is the time it takes them to revert all this shit back to normal. The crap version of KwonHo hasn’t been out long so I’m still gonna give em more time to fix it up before moving on.
I honestly feel the same way. They did fix CD -> throw speed and gave BJQ it’s 66p+kk followup, which like I said was the most critical of all the missing moves.
The game isn’t done yet, anything can change in future patches. They might be slowly adding moves back in, though I have no idea why. What’s even stranger is some old moves like MT 2k+gk are gone, but that BJQ move is like brand new in the Korean version.
All Hero skills had their damage toned down.
All Hero skills can be punished on block with a Hero skill now (even BJQ, just mash on Hero as you’re blocking the last kicks).
Mostly all Hero skills are throw / punch punishable. Which is okay, I guess.
TC still does the most damage with their Hero, BJ still does the least.
Some move properties are really weird now. Sidestep / crouchdash cancel works almost perfectly, but you can’t instant guard cancel when stepping back anymore, and you can’t cancel sidesteps into back dashes, still.
I think the game still isn’t fully live yet. We’re in OB, and things can still change if we’re loud enough. We just have to get enough of the “smart” or paying community to listen to us.
I don’t know, maybe it’d even help if everyone bought like 100 ijji coins or something. It sounds stupid and they may claim they don’t listen to you specifically for paying, but I think if you show that the people who are good are willing to put money into it then it might make it attractive to make some changes.
To Vertigo’s credit, I’ve had a LOT less issues now with lag. I still get a few, but it’s so diminished from CB2 that it’s almost encouraging.
Yeah, at least they semi fixed the lag/desynch issues and movement is a lot more free than in cb2. The game is still playable, but CB1 version was way better

Unless you have a valid korean SSN, you won’t be able to keep your account. I wouldn’t bother if I were you, just play the “World” version.
I wish there were more good players on East… I’m sick of beating up newbs and whiners.
I’m going to be on East Server most of the night.
I’m stuck on West, and it sucks. Oh well.
BTW, I’ve switched to Judo just for the challenge of beating mashers with shitty 2P, 2K+G, PP, and PK strings all day. God, low level Judo sucks, but not as bad as low level MT…
I was about to ask, does judo get useful? That air launcher throw into the ground combo is cool but its so annoying to set up against punch spammers and only having a 2 hit striking combo is hard to fight back with.
Shit about Judo that I know:
Judo excels when your opponent isn’t a masher and actually thinks about his actions (i.e. real fighting game players, SRK players) to the point where they actually follow the concept of advantages and disadvantages, so you can apply some mind games and land that throw combo. In other words, get used to spamming 6K, 6P,P, 2P, and 2K+G (if you have it) for a while until you reach a high level where you have better options or people stop playing you cuz they accuse you of being “dirty” cuz you’re a low spammer…
Higher level Judo moves are mostly throws and catch throws. There’s even a multithrow somewhere in there. However, there are some useful attacks in there as well but I forgot what they were…
Get the crouching Shoulder Rush attack (FC, 3,4P+K) and the long-range Mid Kick (3K) if you can; shit helps against spammers and increases your combo potential a little. Counter-hit Shoulder leads to a decent frame advantage, and if your opponent is a masher, a counter-hit Big Boot (6,6+K) is guaranteed, and you can combo a Mid Kick off of it, which knocks down.
Do NOT get that 6P+G throw; shit does piss-poor damage for a throw that I think it’s probably a glitch. Sure, it has nice ring-out potential, but there are better options IMO.
Oh, don’t be afraid to throw out that Uppercut (4,6P+K) every once in a while as long as you can set it up.
Knee to Kick (4K,K) is decent if people don’t watch out for the second hit at all.
There’s some more other real Judo players like Caliagent (if he’s still playing) can help with, though (I was strictly a MT player until I got pissed off and decided to learn Judo instead)…
Alright thanks for the advice, I only played in the 2nd CB and I just did MT to lvl 8 or so. What pissed you off about it? MT seemed ok to me but I didn’t get very high level.

so it seems most of you get to play in either east or west servers. why the hell am i only able to pick the world server? my ip is in the usa and i gotta tell you, the world server reall sucks. EVERY match has lag. the only good thing is people don’t talk so much shit
Hell from what I hear there’s no one from SRK in the west server either. TGS says there’s like no one, except for GalzPanic who hasn’t posted here lately…
GalzPanic please team up with TGS and beat up scrubs!
However the East server is pretty active with SRK members, we even had to split up into 2 rooms with 3v3 team battles last night.
GalzPanic is Jaquio. He doesn’t play because he WORKS there and shit. 
We need to just move to the World server when it’s all of us, so the 2-3 Westerners can come play.
We also need, like, our own KwonHo client that we can play with offline so that we can have tournaments. At like, David’s tournaments in FL. YEAH.
I know, but wouldn’t that mean he can play? 
I heard people played him and he had all the moves unlocked and all that good stuff.
Also it would be nice if he could chat in this thread every now and then. I’m sure he can’t disclose exactly what the developer’s intentions are or their views on making our version closer the Korean one, but it would be nice to have some input from him. :cybot:
