How was the lag? To anyone that got to play yesterday.
It’s varies from good to bad. The game is really simple (like a simplified version of vf/tekken) so even when it lags, the game still plays the same.
convertors/usb pads/ whatev all work out ok?
Lagwise yah, sometimes good and sometimes bad. Tension is right about the gameplay; there are almost no delayable strings, so you’re either gonna do something or not.
Any good PC usb pad with current drivers should work. We’ve also tried the psx usb adapters with the random sticks that we own. As long as your driver is good, it should be ok. You can also map your inputs to keys, but you have to get the software on your own.
360 pads and the DOA stick are tricky; I got it to work but you have to update the default driver with a custom driver, then change the POV hat (which is the d-pad) to X and Y axes. The website is in the FAQ section of the KwonHo main page if ur interested.

Game servers are up, connection problem has been solved. one question how can i use my stick??
I still get a can’t connect error. With and without my router. I forwarded the ports and everything.
turn off dmz, and try to reconnect. Make sure the last 3 ports listed are udp instead of tcp
This game is just awful. It’s a big pile of jerky animation, lag, and ideas ineptly copied from Virtua Fighter. I can see it improving at some point in the future, considering it’s still in beta, but the quality of this game right now is not on par with even the shittiest retail 3D fighters. I hope ijji can whip it into shape eventually!
I thought the same things you thought…I gave it some time and I think it’s dope. You’re right that it borrows a lot, but I think it scales it back well to be online and on pC. The lag is a problem though…it’s P2P so it helps to play with ppl you have a good connection with. But overall, yeah, the game takes getting used to, but it’s sick. Also, it’s free!

I went there to get my DoA stick to work, basically it’s a better 360 pad pc config than the default driver.

That error means that either your router is very restrictive of p2p traffic, or your connection to the other user is super slow. Try port forwarding.

I get jabbed out of a lot of my stuff, but I look badass when i hit it.
I got in today:
Spootz a MT user.
I didn’t really have a problem fighting against any of the other styles except TC. TC’s Jabs straight out beat MT’s Jabs; and TC has the better high/low mix-up. Needless to say…I never won a match against TC.
one thing that I think would be nice is if backdashes/sidesteps were a tad more responsive, so that I can get out of the way to being the 5 minutes of startup on some of my attacks
I seem to be the only Judo player in the game (Caramel, what a stripper name). Let me just say that throws suck. She doesn’t really have a good low attack and her poke into throw is too risky. But that launcher -> air throw combo is the shit and I love doing that. I havn’t found anything to punish anybody who tries wake up kick.
Tc’s mixup is so fucking good. I think baji quan can really mess up tc since he’s not that quick, and mt can really really annoying if everybody started using his kicks more. Same with tkd.
