u have to log out the server then log back in while ur signal is still strong <.<
ill just wait for the english version lol u’ll eventually get bored of playing kwonho
nah, I really love this game… I’ve played some koreans where the connection felt really similar to laggy conditions in closed beta… this doesn’t really add up to me though. Hopefully there will be better netcode for the north american version
I used to get less than 30 ping in closed beta, but on the Korean servers I get over 150. And if you have 150 plus ping then you can’t even start a match. Pretty much every ping I’ve checked was less than 15 on the Korean version. Ridiculous. So, I just watch other people play (just go into 6player high-level deathmatches and wait until the next match starts). From what I’ve seen, even with the new moves, all the styles look very balanced - with MT being a bit MORESO and TC being a bit less. JD got a huge boost - they had the solid pokes and mids and now they have the damage to back it up from chain throws and rolling mixups. MT, TK, and BJ are solid as always. MT does way too much juggle damage. TC only falters slightly because of weak juggle damage in comparison to the 40-50% juggles you see from MT, BJ and TK. But from watching high-level matches and browsing Korean Kwonho forums, I’d have to say that MT>TK=BJ=JD>TC. Even the top two ranked players from November were MT.
speak for yourself, most of the east coast players had pings of 100-150 in closed beta :(…
I can vouch for that.
I got some pretty good footage from the Korean servers of high level players. I’ll post them later today. Also wanted to mention that I talked to one of the Korean players who knew some English. I asked him about his opinion on the best fighting styles end game. He thinks end game the tiers are as follows: Judo, TK, TC, MT, BJ.
I’ve watched a lot of the advanced players and how crazy they move around, he also mentioned most of BJ attacks can be side stepped thus making them the weakest fighting style.
Some of the new combos MT TK and TC have are just ridiculous. You’ll see them soon.
I also asked him some about their connections and he stated everyone in Korea pings 30 or less. Anything mid 30’s is considered sorta flaky… I don’t know if the US will ever be able to play a game like this without some sort of lag. Hopefully they find a good solution.
I’ve seen some hi-level play also. The new judo stuff seems to leave the opponent in position to just get grabbed again and again.
Also I looked through the guide a little more, and I think it has to be based on an older build, because a lot of the info is just plain incorrect. =(
How’s the new net code coming along?
I highly doubt they’re touching much of the netcode.
Haha, the best ping i got on this game was 0. ZERO! yepp.
What are they working on then? Hookers and blow?
I’m sure there are other issues that need to be dealt with when localizing such a game (such as the… localization), but the networking (both client and server) would have to be overhauled unless it was written to spec for the enviroment in the US (which I severely doubt – but I’ve seen it before, so who knows).
GM already stated that they are gonna try other methods besides p2p.
The US is too big to do p2p around the states and expect good performance everywhere.
I don’t have up-to-date info on what the devs are doing. But yeah, they’re trying new things.
Here’s a video I just published.
It’s to showcase the gear that’s currently available in the Korean Kwonho game.

By the way, this is only the male character items being showcased.
Here’s a great Korean match I recorded.
MT vs JD… Judo is so overpowered now

Wow, I never got to see that bounce throw in action. It’s so mean.
Judo is hot fire.
Damn. Judo is not playing around, those throw setups are crazy. Kwon Ho looks like a lot of fun.
That chargable chop is pretty much like Wolf’s in VF; hard to setup but the payoff is insane.
