He already played Makoto against Vanao.
heās saving ken for the last battle vs talbain
in any case, that fukiage @ 10:10 (because of 10:07) is sweet
mov is really good at reacting against those makoto dashes but i wonder why he didnāt use cr lp a little more
kind of like what matsuken usually does vs mak (loads of cr lk to keep her out) ; and chunās cr lp is better
i think itās fast enough that,in most cases (relatively often ?),you can actually recover and block if the makoto player decides to hayate instead of dashing in
Game 3 round 2 - mindblowing. Conditioning at itās finest
Iām honestly a bit surprised too honestly, I could see Kuroda winning of course but didnāt expect such dominance (even beyond what the 10-4 score would say) due to his opponentās caliber and the fact that he was proven to not being unbeatable in a ft10 setting - see his loss to Tominaga. I didnāt think heād beat MOV that bad.
Iād like to read some deeper commentary on this match Ryan if you mind and have time for that of course.
The last battle is going to be Ken vs Elena? Iād rather have seen Makoto vs Talbain today and then Ken vs MOV as the final. Thatās how you do it imo.
So he says Q - Makoto is 4-6 then loses to Tominaga
Says Chun - Makoto is 7-3 and bodies MOVā¦
then Tominaga >>> MOV #scrublogic #doesntworkthatway
haha Tominaga the new god of 3s
Kuroda has such a godly throw game.
Using Makoto with her dash and backdash just makes it brutal.
Is there still any doubt who the True king of 3s is? Can use every cast better than your ātop playersā in the world?
Wish Kuroda had used a different character though. =[
That set against Tominaga hurt. Last game, last round, last exchangeā¦
Anyhow, what a great series of games. I donāt think Iāve ever seen MOV struggle so much against anyone. Getting consistently counterpoked and whiff-punished to death when youāre playing Chun must be pretty demoralizingā¦
Kuroda also lost vs Match in a 5:5 matchup, btw
Yup i think what we can learn from these FT10ās is that a victor of 1 FT10 still doesnāt decide who is the strongest, just who was playing better on that given time and day
Or maybe just that Kurodaās Ibuki isnāt as good as most of his other characters
Or that Chun vs Mak is not 7-3!
Or all of the above!
btw didnāt Rikimaru once say Kuroda is the best Ibuki in Japan?
I canāt believe I remembered an obscure YouTube comment from 5 years ago but oh well.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PaQQ4oyinA
āAccording to Rikimaru, Kuroda has the best Ibuki in the world. Iāve never seen it before this and I have to question whether or not this is actually Kuroda. Sick resets tho!ā
kuroda necro vs mimora mak

i donāt know what to say ; as far as iām concerned, this is another unexpected result
necro is not one of his best sub-kiara and itās a tough fight for him vs mak (specially if the makoto is mimora)
i wonder if things would be a little different in a āregularā best of 3 rounds scenario
probably not

Only watched the first few matches so far, but if top tier Necro play entails never using any of his specials outside of combo (possible exception of ex spinning hook), that bums me out. Also, is Seichuu really better for this matchup? Iād think Necroās slowness would be a boon.
