Korean TV SF4 tournament series: TUHON 2009 season 1 (etc. Tekken6 started!)

japanese BP seems more of a loose ranking. the top ten in BP has the experience and games played so you know they’re going to be very good, but someone like yoshiwo with 30k BP can hang with the best of them.

note: anybody know why mago FADC then backdashes against kindevu instead of a forward dash? is it b/c rufus can jump straight up and dive kick after a forward dash?

I didn’t see the meter situation, but my guess is that rufus was sitting on meter and mago didn’t want to fadc forward into an ex messiah kick. The fadc dash forward would of been safe but the potential for in your face footsies would’ve given rufus an easy way out with ex messiah kick. The situation also gives sagat good spacing to start up the fireball game.
I’m not pro level, someone else may be able to enlighten you with a better reason.

the exhibition vids are up on the nstar site, but not on youtube asides from poongko’s match against kyabetsu.

These are interesting to watch, but after seeing all 6 players out at the same time like that i have to ask:

What is going on with the teeshirts? Just in general for one thing (i think you lost because the other guy’s shirt beat yours that day), but isn’t Momochi wearing one you wore before?

thanks for the upload showgun

the opening ceremony was hype. I spilled apple juice all over my keyboard when the Korean team came out to “Indestructible.”

Laugh, must’ve been a privilege to be able to play against kindevu & the likes.

I was sure Kyabetsu was definitely the weakest link on Japanese team, & hoped he gets knocked down after like 1 or 2 matches, so we get to see more of Momochi or Kindevu or Mago. This is for the 2nd roundabout of course. It would be better imo if they brought in Uryo or a crazy ass Abel in for Kyabetsu instead.

But hell, it’s nice just to see other top Japanese players get featured outside of Japan than Daigo. Nice to see what Kindevu & the crew actually looked like. & lol Rufus sure as hell fits Kindevu nicely.

Dude, Kyabetsu and Gosho won SBO. Please give the guy the credit he deserves. The Korean players are not getting ran through, they are definitely holding their own. Kyabetsu beat Shiro (crazy abel) and Iyo (national champ Sim) in the finals.

Ahhh, that’s why he got invited.

Sorry for my late edits bro, but he beat that crazy ass abel in the grand finals

Is Laugh who posted here the Korean Player Laugh ?

Damn, these games are really interesting, even for a new player like me

Good job vs Kyabetsu Laugh! You’ll get em next time .

I just watched the rest of the matches. Pretty much all of them were fun enough to pick people to cheer for, but Infiltration is seriously a hero.

The format sucked though. I guess Mago and Momochi were like “Hey, free money!”.

so waht was the result of the infiltration vs mago match up?

I felt bad for ya against Kyabetsu Laugh. Maybe it was just the way I was watching the video but it was almost like he wasn’t taking you seriously. Shit was almost disrespectful. I would have been mad mad about him just sitting there blocking the ultra like he knew he was still gonna win the match afterwards. I know if you got to play against a few more times you would have put more of a dent in him.

Same guy. I met him at Evo. Real chill dude and incredibly smart player. He’s good at just about any SF game I saw him play.

That was some awesome stuff, really enjoyed watching. Nice to see SF play from another country aside US and Japan :woot:

It’s Yu Seung A and Ryu Ji Hye.

Laugh, when are you guys going to invite the U.S players? Marn/Justin/Floe/Sanford/Arturo goo!
