Well that is pretty retarded, but it’s also possible that you just happen to be attracted to common aspects of a certain race. I like asians because I find the skin color and the dark hair attractive, but I also like italian girls for the same reason. But I wouldn’t date someone just because they’re asian or whatever. And it’s really not just asians that get this. Not to keep going back to black people but I see guys that holler at pretty much any black girl that walks by, just because she’s black. Some people are just more attracted to certain races.

About the only people I’ve known not to be over-the-top racist are like Native Americans, whose issues usually extend exclusively to whitey which, while still not fixing the problem (that we ALL just chill out) is at least tamer by comparison. There’s just one part that confuses me. It’s ok for a kid to stab his bully to death because there was no apparent race issue, but it’s not okay for a man to shoot his bullies to death simply because he was asian? In an all asian school no less?
For those that think I’m saying any of this is okay, I’m merely voicing my disapproval of either of the killings. I just don’t understand why some people here turn to defending a certain race when there are INDIVIDUALS responsible here despite the color of their skin. If you are talking about the Jorge Saavedra case you’re omitting a lot of information. The Stand Your Ground law was correctly applied there. There is a more recent case where applying SYG is questionable though (especially with the lack of information on what led to the physical confrontation).

Imbuing self doubt into a person’s psyche can leave a person much more scarred and fucked than a punch to the face ever could. That’s opening a whole different can of worms, but in short my point wasn’t to say that only asians deal with this, it’s just one of the most common forms of complaint I’ve heard.
The thing is though, on a slightly different note-- that although some people are sincerely attracted to a different race for fairly mundane/ordinary reasons, lots of people around the world are heavily conditioned by their culture’s often times quite ‘racist’ ideas about certain groups. Like, take Japanese host clubs for instance. You pay by ‘race’. Most expensive girls are of course Japanese with the scale getting progressively darker and cheaper with phillipino women at the bottom. That kind of shit is pretty ‘ungood’ imo and doesn’t really hint at anything positive I can think of. These forms of bias are imbedded in so much of human culture, it doesn’t even have to be about racial minorities all the time, I mean-- poor southern whites have been shit on for yearsss and it’s literally like the one group its still totally fine to be outrageously prejudiced against on tv and shit.

On the first note: fair enough; I did indeed look over some nations that deserve merit. Couple things though. 1. Netherlands? Because of viking raping and pillaging? Like, that shit was indiscriminate and WAYYYYYYY back, so unless there’s something else, uh wut. 2. Portugal totally escapes my memories historically.
And as far as conquer goes, again we ignore that people were conquering and killing and all that jazz amongst themselves before other people showed up in most if not all instances. I am not defending Whites nor saying there weren’t races among them that desired to rule the earth (Japanese and the Daimyos are just one example); I’m saying they haven’t been the only people to feel this way or have xenophobias, nor was it whitey that suddenly made everyone else this way. You can’t simply blame racism on one people just because they were able to act those thoughts out; if we want the hate to stop, we ALL have to work toward washing away the barrier of ‘race’ that so many define themselves by.
I mean really… What if Africans were the ones forging good armor? Designed guns? What about Asia? Odds are we’d be hearing a lot more about darkies or the yellow ‘plague’, no?
And to be clear, I’m Irish, Mexican and Native American. All races subjugated and oppressed by other whites, not recognized as brethren and, even in American in those times, mistreated simply because of ‘race’ (Hell, the Irish had to live in ghettos for the longest time, and often couldn’t find work except alongside the Chinese working the railroads). None of this negates the fact that NAs killed amongst themselves for tribal supremecy (Celtics did too), or stereotyped racism (like Mexicans’ racism toward Salvadorians, etc).
On my final note though: I am not aware of any determination of Blacks as being considered humans except by Americans as a means to justify having slaves in ‘The Land of the Free’. So far as I’ve known, slaves in other countries, regardless of race, were considered to be people even if not regarded as such in practice. I mean, historically, slavery (America’s scenario being an exception) was typically less about race and more about status, authority and power. It wasn’t ‘Hey black person, you’re my slave because you are black’ and more ‘Hey, fellow Greek person, you’re my slave because otherwise I could just kill you and your family and enjoy the resources left behind.’ Dominance through merit or numbers, not something arbitrary like the color of one’s skin. Then again, most races hated anything that wasn’t specifically them or within their tight-knit communities, so w/e.
