For what it’s worth I was able to resolve my issue by mixing and matching parts between the replacement and original until I ended up with a Fanta that is mostly equal in all directions.
And now I’m in love with K stick and might replace the JLFs in my other sticks with Crown 309MJ.
Thanks man appreciate the help managed to get it on (I had to stretch the fugg out of the rubber, kinda scared me a bit), and this is how my new stick looks like.
Phantomnaut is right; it’s paint. I used SEM “Sailcloth” White, & buffed with Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound. I painted a Taeyoung battop as well, but omitted the polishing to keep it more matte & less like a Myoungshing battop. I prefer the proportions of the Taeyoung to the Myoungshin overall. Though I don’t have a close up, here’s a quick shot of the white Taeyoung:
I’d go as far to say that the inside is even cleaner than the outside, considering just how wiring was necessary. There’s 2 additional 24mm buttons mounted on the front facing lower bezel that aren’t pictured for example, but thanks @Abev.
You forgot to put the Gold “dustwasher” on it. Don’t forget to take off the plastic on the dustwasher. Just keep picking at the sides of it until it starts to peel off.
Fanta Use 55A Black Latex Grommet. Crown use Translucent/clear Silicone 35A Grommet (but they include spring on the grommets which will help the tension)
So you have to use Crown Grommets core/ring, because Fanta grommets core/ring diameter is smaller ( it will loose at some point) and the groove height is slightly shorter than Crown Grommets, yes you can push it and make it fit, but this is not recommended since you already deformed the grommet which can effect performance. remember that Fanta stick use grommets for the tension, and the tension from the grommets exist because you deformed the material.
[details=Spoiler]it won’t fit naturally
[/details]
Then at this point we have another problem, the Inside diameter of the Crown grommets core is biger than lower Fanta shaft diameter. when you install it, it will loose and make huge death zone
IMO, Crown 309 is much better than old Crown generation model 303. It will be perfect for those who want to try K-stick in their Fight Stick with Jap mounting.
I have the SDL-301 to try out for IPLAYWINNER. Due to no release date anywhere as of now, I can’t say anything, or rather can not have my review up, until stores in Korea or elsewhere has order options.
Anyone have any input on how much neutral wiggling I should expect out of a Myoungshin Fanta? I’m used to Sanwa being pretty still at neutral, but my Fanta feels “loose”
