Korean arcade parts discussion

Ok guys, I had to go pick up my golden fanta mod, and now i’m stuck.

how do i remove this black piece on the original myoungshin rubber, and put it on the golden fanta grommets?

Installed the Golden Fanta 7mm shaft and 14.5mm actuator on the Kaze V2 lever. Feels pretty good on that too.

It depends on weight. If you are gonna get parts, I think it’s like $20-30.

Just stretch the middle part of rubber a bit so you can just take the plastic piece out.

Paint.

For what it’s worth I was able to resolve my issue by mixing and matching parts between the replacement and original until I ended up with a Fanta that is mostly equal in all directions.

And now I’m in love with K stick and might replace the JLFs in my other sticks with Crown 309MJ.

Weren’t the levers that came in a joytron exchanger arcadestick solid white versions of crown? That could possibly be one.

Edit: even though they were solid white, those versions of crown had blue collars and blue lower body. Kinda like the 303’s

Thanks man appreciate the help managed to get it on (I had to stretch the fugg out of the rubber, kinda scared me a bit), and this is how my new stick looks like.

Phantomnaut is right; it’s paint. I used SEM “Sailcloth” White, & buffed with Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound. I painted a Taeyoung battop as well, but omitted the polishing to keep it more matte & less like a Myoungshing battop. I prefer the proportions of the Taeyoung to the Myoungshin overall. Though I don’t have a close up, here’s a quick shot of the white Taeyoung:

That stick looks super clean overall.

I’d go as far to say that the inside is even cleaner than the outside, considering just how wiring was necessary. There’s 2 additional 24mm buttons mounted on the front facing lower bezel that aren’t pictured for example, but thanks @Abev.

You forgot to put the Gold “dustwasher” on it. Don’t forget to take off the plastic on the dustwasher. Just keep picking at the sides of it until it starts to peel off.

@wazwuz are there any more spots available for Golden Fanta? I’d like to pimp out my Myoungshin

@VarmintBaby

I just realized that too. lol thanks

@wazwuz are both actuators supposed to be the same size in the golden fanta kit?

Yes, I will make new mold for new version Crown (thicker grommets). and provide 35 clear, 45 green, 55 blue, 65 red silicone grommets

I have some sets in stock, contact me via email arcadestickindo@gmail.com

no. the smaller is 15.5mm and slightly bigger is 16mm

I had to do the same thing. I replaced the stock M.Fanta grommet with a Fujin 2, works great with Gersung A2 switches.

Anyone hear news on Crown/Samducksa SDL-301-DX Infiltration lever?
Apprently it’s early 2017 and still haven’t seen one.

So I just make Comparison the Crown 309M (Red) vs Fanta myungshin (black), here is my findings:

both have the same height and use same Panasonic switches

Crown have side support for switches and mount the switches 1mm closer than Fanta.

Fanta Actuator (Black) is 16,6mm. Crown Actuator (White) is 15,75mm (Crown have to make it smaller because they arrange the switches closer together).

Fanta Shaft and Crown Shaft have the same 9mm size (Crown shaft is about 2,5mm shorter than Fanta)

Fanta Use 55A Black Latex Grommet. Crown use Translucent/clear Silicone 35A Grommet (but they include spring on the grommets which will help the tension)

The thickness of Crown Grommets is 6,5mm Flat. and Fanta is 7mm, But inner part of Fanta Grommet is thinner

If you wonder, can we put Crown Grommet into Fanta ?. quick answer is No.
here is the detail:
Yes you can put crown grommets inside fanta.

Spoiler

http://i.imgur.com/5QmGSKC.jpg

but Crown Inside Diameter Grommets is bigger about 2,5mm than Fanta

So you have to use Crown Grommets core/ring, because Fanta grommets core/ring diameter is smaller ( it will loose at some point) and the groove height is slightly shorter than Crown Grommets, yes you can push it and make it fit, but this is not recommended since you already deformed the grommet which can effect performance. remember that Fanta stick use grommets for the tension, and the tension from the grommets exist because you deformed the material.

[details=Spoiler]it won’t fit naturally

[/details]
Then at this point we have another problem, the Inside diameter of the Crown grommets core is biger than lower Fanta shaft diameter. when you install it, it will loose and make huge death zone

[details=Spoiler]7,5mm inside diameter

http://i.imgur.com/hFzOqyI.jpg

7mm lower shaft diameter

http://i.imgur.com/a47S2hY.jpg

it will loose when installed

http://i.imgur.com/ce22JCD.jpg

[/details]
Then if you install the Crown shaft/Lever, it was too short and will not hit the switches lever

If you wonder, can we use Fanta and Crown Actuator and Shaft Interchangeably? the answer is NO
it have different diameter

IMO, Crown 309 is much better than old Crown generation model 303. It will be perfect for those who want to try K-stick in their Fight Stick with Jap mounting.

No one’s heard a thing. And don’t go to Infiltration’s stream asking cause he’ll ignore you. At least he did me.

I have the SDL-301 to try out for IPLAYWINNER. Due to no release date anywhere as of now, I can’t say anything, or rather can not have my review up, until stores in Korea or elsewhere has order options.

:wink:

Anyone have any input on how much neutral wiggling I should expect out of a Myoungshin Fanta? I’m used to Sanwa being pretty still at neutral, but my Fanta feels “loose”

That sounds normal. There’s no spring to provide resistance in the dead zone, so it feels loose until you begin to compress the grommet.
