Well worth the $70 though. I’d get one if $70 was actually in my piggy bank. Never heard of the Crown SDL-301. Where can I find out more?
Will you stock the Taeyoung Fanta as well? I have heard good things about that stick and your store is definitely the place to go for Korean arcade parts.
I heard a rumor that this model will be released at the end of March or early April this year and I will keep posting for any news coming from Korean arcade communities and Crown company.
Perhaps IST will sell it as it’s released in that time.
Hopefully it will be offered with reasonable price to the customers
I am pretty interested in that lever as well.
Fujin 2 is just hard to get a hold of so its one of those lack of availibility = high price things if you live anywhere other than Korea. I wouldn’t play 70 for it though. When I bought mine I took the L on shipping it to me but I got it for a fair price.
If you guys get a hold of this lever I would like to know ASAP lol.
@RH92 Will there be a cheaper, economy shipping option available sometime soon for Makestick.com? I’ve been looking to purchase a 309MJ, but shipping alone adds on about $27, which is a bit much for me. I don’t mind waiting for my order to come in two weeks later, so it’s fine.
Yeah. I’ve been holding out on buying the 309MJ because of the shipping. I live in Great Britain and i don’t want to get screwed on shipping. Again. :s
Got my FujinV2, dropped it into my Jasen top TE2
been using stock myoungshin for 5 years now finally got some mods. 3 games I tested
TEKKEN: stick is heavy, I bang the gate with my stock myoungshin lever like crazy not so much with this.
standard stepping , BD cancels and movement tired me out a bit. A good 50 game set and wrist gonna be burning.
1p waves got harder 2p waves got easier. I just need to tough up my hands thankfully I don’t play mishimas
Asuka demonslayer cancels into df 2 are butter smooth. best corners on a Fanta **I have ever used.
** I did the flick the stick test to make it hit opposite input from the return force, lol none of that bulsht here.
Vampire Savior: main Lilith and I can do everything, cancel dashes into themselves, LI combos, tk souls
pretty much perfect accept for my personal learning curve for stiffness. Not super shocked this is my main game and I can still rock
pre 2001 Capcom on IL or Perfect360s if needed, this is just a crazy upgrade.
BBCF: pretty much ran thru my characters in training no drops all “Half circle back, forward” supers were as butter
and IADs are tight as fck.
I use JLF specifically for anime this may change. . . I have to test some of my wackier stuff in Arcana heart.
FUJIN V2 lever accuracy is godlike, you just have to get your Popeye arm game up to control it.
Def not for “my first k-stick” i’m sorry this thing is a bit strong and I have about 5 years fanta Tekken exclusive play
I can probably find corners easier than a new K lever user, just keep that in mind.
Minor nag: came with no dustwaster and the one I put on clips on the fanta collar top gate a bit, have to sand it out.

got a air bag as well gotta re-furb my old mini fanta travel case for that later.
@Ghost Cobra, Thanks for the review. I have been curious about getting a FujinV2 myself. When you get your Airbag lever together could you please let us know what you think?
@RH92 I would like to know when the SDL-301 comes out also. It would be great if I could purchase one from you! Thanks!
Ghost Cobra, how did you install it in a TE2? Did you cut the plexi and metal panel yourself or was it made to measure by Jasen’s Customs?
@ProgressiveBalance Jasen’s Customs are premade to specifications (including the plexi). I’m pretty sure the TE2 panel for the Korean Stick has the proper size hole for the lever and the proper mounting areas.
Yeah i just checked the website and he does have an option for a Korean lever. I only wish he did the same for the original TE stick.
does a japanese mount crown stick(303fk) just go into a namco noir cab? anyone know this cuz i want to donate a couple spare 303 sticks to my local round 1 to put in 2 of the tekken 7 machines but i noticed that the machine doesnt use a mounting plate for the jlf, just 2 screws to mount it.
Should install fine but I don’t think they will let you replace them at all. Ask first if they are willing to do so or just deal with Sanwa. Unless you are a known regular or are friends with an employee, I don’t think they will replace them if the current levers are not broken.
im a regular lol, but i have to make friends with another mechanic if he still works there since im part of a fb group with a couple of their mechanics.they used those 2 holes sticking out on the left and right of the body on the jlf to mount the stick.
Then no it won’t work. Maybe if you use a Kowal plate but the lever bodies might block those screw areas.
first mount the universal plate (either paradise or kowal), find a way to do flush screws on those two points (might have to countersink the holes on the universal plates), use flushed metric screws as well (if it’s anything like a blast city panel, it should be M4).
then when the universal plate is installed, only then you can mount the 303FK, use a bolt+nut solution to secure…
so basically
-noir mount-
-universal plate-
-Crown lever+ stock Plate-
two mounting plates overall.
did this before to mount a happ stick on a hrap 3 (similar two-point JLF mount)
OK
put fujinV2 lever thru hours of TEKKEN
waaaaaay heavy NEEDS TO BE MOUNTED IN A CAB or VLX or bolted.
my execution went down trying to play on a TE2 in my lap, on arcade stand however, it went back up.
obvious now this was designed for game center machines
Fighting games with less strenuous movement do not suffer from this as much.
Pros
corners are amazing for a fanta
custom plate/actuator short engage
Non-TEKKEN games feel beautiful
Thicc ridged fat bat top
Cons
needs to be played in a cab/panel or housing of significant weight.
rare
expensive
learners Nightmare if upgrading from JP lever offerings
AIRBAG
my wood mini need significant work tested in TE2
Feels a bit lighter than stock myoungshin. great corners like fujin.
games that need snappy neutral it doesn’t “help” you as much as fujinV2
fine on a arcade stick on your lap, no stress.
sorry wack phone HAZE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5i99_x0pqw
waves and corners, all around great
flick test fail
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoS8hHml8eU
all special move execution fine
Hit dash links reps a couple times, bonus points
pros
soft and fast feel
cheap
corners great
TEKKEN and other FG A-OK
learner friendly nice JLF step up
con
doesn’t cheat for you in TEKKEN neutral, you have to control it
failed flick test hit a return switch. NOTE FORCED flick not natural center return.
fujin2: heavy af , accurate, short(er) engage
airbag: light, accurate, standard engage
Both: great.
You should also do the same for other joysticks like the Taeyoung and Kaze. Great review by the way. Have you tried amalgamating parts from other joysticks? I think that from the review a stock Myoungshin grommet will compliment a Fujin nicely. My only complaints besides the $70 price tag is a bat-top screwed halfway and no dust cover for the collar. I really wish makestick sold some of green arcades Myoungshins. I hear they are the best Korean levers made.
@ProgressiveBalance I thought about swapping some parts, I did a bunch of that with crowns crap 1st run JP mount offerings.
Not to sound corny but as a modder I look at things like the FUJIN as like a Katana or something made by a good blacksmith. I’d rather step my self up than dull the blade.
Once I can figure out/build a mount solution it will be amazing. I’ve built panels into wood enclosures before, might have to make it a special project.
From my examination changing the rubber can also affect the new switch assembly the builder installed,
also the middle of the grommet seems to be custom for shafts, I have had to force JLF shafts into stock myounshins before, made me sad with meh results.
KAZE arena lever looks so wacky lol can I play other games with it? I’m not sure if that setup was made for beginners. . .?
If you play TEKKEN I’d imagine you can snap your background SS without jumping? I dunno I have been on Fanta since 2012
These OG Korean modders have used these for decades/entire life. I’m not sure about their choices.
Maybe i’ll see a KAZE or Greenlever at EVO I can try out
