Korean arcade parts discussion

Edit, misunderstanding corrected.

After not getting great results with the Crown lever with the 16.5mm actuator, I got the opposite when installing Gersung GSM-V023A3. They feel a bit tougher than the other Gersung switches I used. I was able to move a lot better with the switch change. Wavedashing and backdash cancelling were excellent and consistent. Very little wiggle in the dead zone but it’s ok. If the actual Crown 309 lever feels the exact same as my mod, then I can definitely say they were aiming to compete with Myoungshin’s Fanta levers.

I am gonna try to find time to finalize the actuators soon. It’s mostly to fit the shaft hole sizes for Fantas and Crown levers properly.

Oh yeah, Lowhigh has the Japanese mounted version of the 309 installed to his limited Mastercup-branded TE2 stick.

hello everyone,

if it could help, my brother has been a few times in Korea.
Over there he has been in touch with lots of tekken players and korean retailers such as Crown and IST.

Here is his advice concerning the korean stuff, especially for tekken, but sorry it’s all in french  :

awesome
definitely looking forwards to testing these custom actuators when you upload the stl files

Those sticks arent good

I haven’t followed the thread in detail, but from what I’ve seen there’s no way to improve 307s response, I even swapped the grommet and it’s not the same compared to my experience with the sticks I’ve used on namco noirs in korea

The problem with the 307 is mostly due to the design of the bottom end and the actuator. The white actuators are too big but the black original units are ok. The microswitches can exasterbate the issue. Matsushita switches are the absolute worst on the 307 while some Gersung switches do make it bearable to say the least.

Still waiting to get a 309

I haven’t gotten into it the past couple of weeks. I still have plans to do more tests, mostly for shaft fitting. But thank you for your interest. I will get back on it ASAP.

Looks like Crown has a new upcoming variant of the 309 serving as better compromise between the Japanese and Korean versions.
The 309M seems to have a gate taller and bigger in diameter than what’s found on the CWJ-303 and CWL-307 Japanese models but smaller than that of the normal Korean version. I assume this change allows for accuracy closer to the Korean version while still small enough that it can still be mounted on Japanese arcade sticks. The test models from videos I noticed is that there are two mounting plates: one for Korean mounts and another for Japanese.

Although I am not sure of it yet but it looks like the test version is experimenting with lighter silicone tension.

Here is another video that shows more of parts swapping at around the 30 min mark.

Since it’s still a test unit, don’t expect anybody to sell that for a bit. I really wanna try the normal 309 and this 309m!

EDIT: Also noticed that there is a CWL-307m as well. I am gonna assume the CWJ-303m exists as well.

Another video about this 309M:

It seems Crown didn’t sit on those 307 proto grommet parts and decided to “release” (for a handful of korean gamers/modders/testers ) the 20 & 35 shore A silicones for the 309, perhaps revised a bit, . Will Istmall have them on their catalog soon? I checked and nothing for the moment. They only have both 307 and 309 silicone grommets for the moment, so no need to go Seimitsu style by having all those versions of sticks with interchangeable parts presented as if they were completely different(ls-56,58,60,62 anyone
?? all based on the ls56 body & pivot and all using gates and pcb that were made for an even older model
) . What’s really stupid is the inconsistency of the production which according to istmall has ±20% precision in terms of silicone hardness, which means that you could get grommets with -on paper- ‘different’ hardness values that may end up very similar in real life (with a difference less than 10), not to mention that the cheapest devices used to measure elastomer hardness are also not really precise (so what’s the point of having a 307 55A and 307 60A grommets then? You could eventually end up with a “55A” stiffer than an arcade grade “60A” one! ) . That is, unless you are lucky
according to their observations.

Hi, can anyone help me to get green fanta lever? Thanks b4

Thanks 4 the answer
by the way, its a green fanta lever, not a myoungshin fanta

Green Game Land-modded Fanta?

Get lucky and see if Saint or Knee goes to an international tournament and buy it off of them after they win.

Some have em and are keeping em.

I hope someone in here can help me to get it, or sell it to me maybe
