i’ll take one if still available

@wazwuz

Is there a chance you could make oversized grommet bushings for the myoungshin or crown levers?

The fujin’s is about 1mm larger in diameter than standard and I feel this really improves the performance of the grommets. It could be a placebo effect, but I feel like I hit the sweet spot in the grommet sooner and the lever returns to neutral quicker.

@wazwuz, put me down for a Golden Crown set. Thanks!

After much use of the 309MJ with the V2, ive bumped up to the 35 silicon crown tension frome MAKESTICK and found that to be perfect tension and overall feel /return to neutral and control for myself. I still wonder though if it is due to design of having to ride the gate more to hit the diagonal mainly just for electrics, but movement is smooth as butter. Maby the grommet mod could make a difference. Overall it is a very good stick.

This leans me towards wanting to try the Taeyoung with a softer grommet. For anyone curious, Jasen DID do TE2+ replacement panels and plexi to fit korean style sticks. I’ve asked about it and it should be making a return in October.

Any information about the HelpMe stick? i’ve been seeing the purple lever in so many sticks during the Korean Tournament and was wondering if anyone knows the notable differences, IF it is the V2 that is. Have not had much information on it.

Also it mightove been asked before, but gameplay wise does anyone feel a difference between the japanese 309 vs korean mounted 309?

Got one of the new Taeyoung Fantas from Etokki today and I have to say that I find it really hard to hit diagonals on this one.
A while ago I saw @Antonio-o-o mention to replace the actuator with the one from the Myoungshin Fanta. Is this still considered to be the best way to get it to hit the corners better?

So I take it the infiltration lever wont fit in a hrap4 kai? That’s a shame. Guess I’ll go with the 309MJ

Be aware that 309MJ is a very hit-or-miss lever. Many people myself included could not hit diagonals consistently with Gersung A2 switches and had to order A3s to make the lever work.

So Crown are not marketing the 309 levers as the Help Me lever anymore. The Help Me V2 (or 2nd generation) is basically that with slightly lighter tension and the L, R & D switches are Gersung GSM-V0323A3 while U is GSM-1623A2. It looks like it’s not for sale at the moment in its dedicated store.

Aren’t A3’s supposed to be the new default switch for the 309? I remember reading that somewhere.

which diameter? the inside diameter for shaft, or the outside diameter for the grommets (against inside diameter of the grommets)?

I find it relatively easy to do diagonals on the stock taeyoung but inputs are super sloppy. I’ve tried to put the myoungshin actuator on the taeyoung but it didn’t fit. I was trying to force it on but it’s to long and you would have to shave a little off to make it work. Currently using the golden fanta kit on my taeyoung without the switch support and I find it overall easier to do everything with mishimas on it compared to the myoungshin with the same set up. One other thing to note is I’m using the thai Panasonic switches with it. Gonna switch back to the myoungshin in a couple days then try the golden crown kit on my fujin v2.

I want to share my experience: I add 1.5 mm to the shaft of my myoungshin and was improved my execution not only in tekken, also in kof ans sfv.

The outer diameter that the grommet secures around. I’ll see if I can get a pic sometime this week.

What are people using for oversized actuators that fit on the stock Myoungshin shaft? I’d like to get a slightly larger diameter actuator like the 16.5mm in the Golden Fanta set, but that one doesn’t seem to fit on the stock shaft.

Hi @wazwuz , if you’re making any more of the Golden Fanta mods in the future, I’d like a chance at purchasing and trying them. Just got my Taeyoung eTokki Omni a few weeks back, and seriously is a gamechanger compared to old Sanwa JLF sticks that a staple in my country. Please add me to the list when it’s in production.

Shipping should be easy too, I’m just across the Strait of Malacca. Selamat Malam/Pagi!

Greetings to every else too. Been a long time lurker/reader of the forum, only felt the need to register recently when Tekken 7 came out and rekindled that old flame. Was happily a casual player since I left Tekken after Tekken 3. Been playing since the first Tekken came out in the arcades as well. The older Tekkens may look and play dated, but the chills when I hear King’s Tekken 2 theme. Nostalgia’s a powerful thing

Welcome to the forums.

I think people were saying if you grease up the actuator you can hammer it on. But you have to grease it otherwise if you do get it on without the grease, you won’t be able to get it back off. Maybe someone else can confirm or deny that.

Umm, I had the same exact feeling of diagonals being missed a lot when I got my Taeyoung. But its been about 2.5 weeks now and the rubber has loosened up a bit. My execution speed has def gone up, and my wavedashing is better as well. Just give it time before you decide to add any mods. You might like it once the rubber looses some of its tension. Its still not 100% what I wanted, but its much better than what I first got it.

If anybody is interested in buying a my remaining golden Fanta set I would be willing to sell it to you. I was able to find the right fit for me using the 65 shore tension grommet and the stock 9mm shaft and 16.5mm actuator (which are both stock sizes of the fanta.)

As such I have no use for the remainder of the set and would sell it at a very discounted price for anybody interested!
