Ist and makestick is the same outfit.
Oh I didnât know that lol good to know, Iâve tried a lot of places to find these two levers but unfortunately makestick is the only website that has both levers on their site but out of stock, if anyone knows where else you can get these levers from I would really appreciate it
Wonder if there will be another run of the âgolden fantaâ mods?
Ive currently been using a stock myoungshin fanta in my te2+ for about a month and a half now and love the gersung a2 switches, only thing is, the stock rubber grommet isnât stiff enough. Because the grommet isnât stiff enough, i can still wave dash much faster on a ls-56 with a 3lb spring, or a jlf with an oversized actuator on a 4lb or 3lb spring.
I donât really hit the gate so the stock myoungshin rubber stiffness is about equivalent of a 2.5lb spring on J stick when paired up with the gersung a2âs. Point being, the grommet only gets stiffer the further u push the stick towards the gate, and i always try to only hit the microswitches and never the gate.
Alright noob question time.
Iâve been rocking a Myoungshin Fanta for a few months now. Iâve fallen in love with how it feels.
Iâm trying to replicate the feel in my Japanese-mount stick using a Crown MJ. I am currently sitting on a Crown 307MJ and 309MJ, one with generic âMade in Taiwanâ switches and the other with Gersung A2 (I believe).
The issue is that I cannot replicate the feeling of the âfast switchesâ that I find in the Fanta.
To elaborate; the Fanta activate switches towards the beginning of a âthrowâ, resulting in easier to do motions without ever touching the collar. All combinations of my 307 and 309 Crown sticks have resulted in the exact opposite feeling, where I have to go basically to the edge of the collar to actually get the switches to activate.
What should I be looking at to resolve this? I read that the Gersung A3 FocusAttack sells will resolve the issue, but Iâd like to get a second opinion on that.
If the best path is to just mod my Madcatz TE to accept a Fanta, Iâd rather go down that route now than invest any more into making this Crown feel good.
Noon question, I have a crown 309mj joystick with the now discontinued Panasonic microswitchs
Do the gersung a3âs have less of a dead zone than the Panasonic microswitchs or are the Panasonic switches superior to the gersung a3âs?

btw, is it a good idea to make new tread for the mods I made?
same with me, I have try 309 collarless + Golden crown prototype, it was good, better than 303/307 model, but somehow I still like myungshin better than any stick ( I still wait for my chopped collar from makestick, but they havenât gives me update about the replacement parts)
if you can afford to mod your TE to mount myungshin, then go for it.
@Pobega Can you then mix parts and use the 309MJ neck on a myoungshin fanta? or is the neck assembly made differently? looking at the parts they look like they have the same 4 screws pattern that assemble the stick. I can try to do it with what I have, but it would be too much work just to test out. On top of that I find what you said is true i have a crown 309mj on my quanba, i also have a etokki 7th revision Korean Edition that just came out with a Taeyoung Fanta stick which is stiffer than the 309mj. First I thought the 309mj was better âless stiffâ, but after playing with the Taeyoung for a couple of days, same thing it activate switches towards the beginning of a throw.
Hi all. This was the microswitch in the Crown CWL-309Helpme-K-KMS-ST35 that I purchased from Focus Attack. Having minor issues hitting diagonals as mentioned earlier in this thread. Is this the A2 Gersung? If so, whatâs the Gersung A3 model # do I need to get to replace?
I googled the number and it said that the switch you have is a Panasonic AM51630C69N microswitch. Only place i saw microswitch is on the web site http://makestick.com/us/ but its a GSM-V1623A2 switch. I think there are different models out there so i donât know which one is the right one that people talk about. like the switch number i just mentioned i think when they say A2 it refers to the last two characters of the model, but I have seen different models that end with A3 or A2.
The softer switch is on top but in reality itâs for down since the direction will be inverted in-game.
aha. Thanks. I guess I need to practice more.
Iâm new with these levers too, but after now playing with both a 309F (Helpme) with Panasonic switches and swapping various switches onto a 309MJ body, I donât think A3 switches are going to feel faster for you. My understanding is that the 309s have a wide neutral by design.
That said, I did swap these switches onto a 309MJ and it might help you:

Because the hinge is angled up, it engages much more quickly than the Gersungs or Panasonics. It felt like the slightest movement in any direction would click the switch. I didnât do a lot of testing as I personally rely on riding the collar for inputs (Iâm old and slow lol), but maybe you want to give them a try before modding your TE.
Fellas, @Agieze goes in-depth about microswitches a few pages back, if you want to know technical details.
As for me, Iâm a Layman in terms of parts. I feel like when it comes to microswitches, itâs more of a preference thing. I can only offer an opinion from what Iâve personally messed with.
For me, Gersung A2âs that came with my stock Myoungshin was fine. When I used my Panasonicâs from one of my crown levers, I felt like cornering was stricter and you pretty much had to ride the gate. Now some people prefer that. Me, not so much, but I can adapt.
Not saying Panasonicâs are Superior but for example, when I play Tekken 7. I main Jin, and in gameplay after the opponent has corkscrewed ( âS!â new version of bound to me) a usual ender for him is âb3~f 1,2â (something like that). Well that âb3â usually inputs as âdb3â for me (which most likely is from my execution) with the Gersung A2âs. With the Panasonicâs cornering being so strict, I feel like I have no issues of missed inputs of âdbâ when doing that little bit. Is it Superior? Imo not really because Jin also has âcd 4â that kinda like a tripping launcher when you follow up with âb2,1â. Well in that âcrouch dashâ on df part is strict with Panasonicâs and I feel like I gotta really put some âumphâ into it.
Takeaway: I feel like itâs more of a preference thing. Iâm open to the fact that I can be wrong (and itâs more me than the product), but this is just opinion. I say give whatever you got a chance, and if you feel like you simply canât adapt, throw down on some new hardware.
I do want to try the Gersung A3âs though, in my k-mount sticks, so I can offer any feedback. Someone posted a video about their 309mj and how A3âs were better at the corner than his A2âs just based on testing it outside the case. But for now my experience is only with Gersung A2âs and Panasonicâs.
Ps: sorry for the Tekken annotations if you donât understand them.
Where can I buy good microswitches to replace the faulty ones that came with the Crown 309MJ? Gersung A3âs seem to be out of stock from focusattack. Are the Seimitsuâs any good or are they even compatible with the 309MJ?
You can count me in on the Golden Fanta, I pmâd you
Interested. PMâd you.
@wazwuz Brass and Bronze? What does the brass do differently. Does it wear down slower than Bronze? iâm no expert on metals so iâm intersested in hearing what the change in material will do for the joystick
Also I think people in this thread will find this is quite interesting. What would it take to put a Sanwa shaft cover on a Myoungshin/crown? I know that it would fit right in no problem on a Myoungshin in terms of size, but as the stick was never designed for one it would probably mess up the grommet or something. I was just thinking that if you were to have a finished Golden Crown Mod on your 309MJ and you preferred the ball and shaft cover of a JLF, wouldnât it be pretty neat to have. =)
Very interested! Pmâd you.
