anyway, i was at dongbang today, two ok guys were there that i could beat and then he showed up and killed everyone with his gief. I beat him twice and got a double ko once, but he beat me at least 12/13 times. i was taking turns with some other dude using ryu that wasn’t that good and people who played a random game or two.
also, i noticed there was another arcade in that area, like 3 minutes away that has a cvs2 machine if anyone is interested. i don’t play any cvs2 so i didn’t try it but one side has a really green screen, but the other looked ok. if anyone wants to know where it is, i can show next time we’re at dong bang.

interesting tourney yesterday. impressive production value and a few tight matches (specially tao) though some parts of it could have been done a little more professionally. it was cool that ono was there even tho he sucks at sf4
anyway, what was the big announcement yesterday? sf4 championship edition? arcade upgrade? new game?
I went to Isu today. (Sunday) I was one of the contributors to this Ryu guy getting 50+ wins

for the first hour he was ASS RAPING ME with like ryu and chun… just tick throwing and anti-airing me for the win… when i started trading with him, this gief player came and started assraping the both of us.

i think it was a combination of me being depressed from the tourney and just how he played that was a good counter to my jumpy self that owned me.
so i have come to the conclusion that i have only done so well in tourney play cuz i lucked out with the brackets. and played opponents i stylistically have an advantage against.
i might have to switch characters… bison has some major weaknesses and a lack of uppercut really hurts him. haha i was humiliated. by a guy who went 0-1. but at least the cute chun li chick said i was handsome!!!
yeah, i meant the tournament was unprofessional with the lighting and controllers being off, but it was still run pretty smoothly. reminds me of ddr tournies back in the day. anytime it was run by the arcade staff or a company like red octane, there were always pad issues, but worth entering anyway for the chance at free prizes.
tao, i think you play a lot better in tournies than in casuals. i feel like i wouldn’t come close to your bison watching you on the screen, but at isu, i took like 2 or 3 games off out of like 10? honda’s a different story tho. i think i’m close to 0-20 against your honda by now.
also, was that gief playing at noryanjin a kinda skinny young guy, about my height, glasses, slightly nerdy looking but pretty normal looking korean kid?

haha i actually do play a lot better in tournament play. less risky and more footsies… but casual play is really important because that’s what gets you better for tournies. and gief is just really good against bison. don’t sell yourself short though haha but i was also able to almost trade with that gief player with honda… really strange hahaha
