98 is just hands down the best kof in the series.

2k2 to me, more deeper system, great cast, harder to master (bc combo system).

02 seems more flexible but at the same time more difficult to learn.

It’s a stupid move but not as unpunishable as many think. If you can predict it with a guard roll and make them whiff, they can be punished
The dumbest thing about 2k2 is probably Angel…that’s probably a better example.

KOF2002UM is GDLK, 98 is still a beast in it’s own right imo…

its not just the inf man. shes a pretty deep character, but her options are just sooo good that ppl can scrub out and autopilot. you can do whatever you want in the strings and if you get a hit, thats an inf. hammer’s angel is beyond that, but most of the other angels you see aren’t. they just learn the inf, and hope for a random hit. that vid isn’t a very good example of the bullshit, but is actually rather solid play.
