According Wild Wallace, normals feel strong and anti-airs feel really strong.

Some are reporting that the game has just defends.

They need to cut the bullshit and bring back Orochi Team.

They’re also saying no one knows what the hell they do. Not an obvious mechanic so it’s probably not the SNK just defend you’d think it is.

Sure a lot of characters to take into consideration…

On a different note, how is everybody liking the redesigns. And I mean purely from a design stand point, I don’t need you to tell me that the game’s still not too easy on the eyes. I like all the new costumes except Leona and Kyo’s, I wish they went back to they’re classic looks(Especially Leona). Though I really love Billy, Ralf, Chang, and Andy’s new looks.

All of the redesigns look fine to me. I don’t have a problem with any of them but none of them are particularly amazing either. I couldn’t say I would rather have anything else though, on some level something new will always be more interesting than something I’ve seen before.

The redesigns ain’t nothing special. All the characters have kept their core design with a different set of clothes.

I don’t believe that’s correct… I was under the impression they used rough 3D models for proportions and then drew overtop them. Some of the sprite work in 13 is too good that I don’t know how they could’ve just converted that from a 3D model. And all the spritework from KoF12/13 practically bankrupted the company.

The KOF system is one of the best pieces of system design I’ve ever seen for a competitive game.

I’m pretty sure he was talking specifically about KOF12.

Some Gameplay

Is rush any use if anybody fiddled around with it.

New system

  • Just Defend

  • Wall Bounce neutral C+D

  • Forward ground recovery roll (KOFXI style, can be hit)

  • Rush Autocombo : mash LP close to opponent

  • You get one super meter when you lose a character (like KOFXI)

Maxmode :

  • Uses 1 meter
  • Ex moves (depletting time) and Ex DM
  • 1/2 time if activated during a normal

Why the hell is XIV adding Neowave mechanics?

Oh, it’s not even Counterwire. That’s not so bad I guess. Still kinda odd.
