Yeah I see what you guys mean. Basically KOF is a fan fic game in way, which explains the continuity issues with the main games. Hey any chance violent ken can make his way to a KOF game. I know he’s capcom but that version was created by SNK, maybe capcom can let them borrow him like did they with akuma to tekken lol.
It’s kinda sad that they (Capcom) didn’t carry that on. Though SNK was the first to implement it that way, it is a nod to the SF II Animated movie where ken is taken over by Bison as an Evil Ken.
Do snk really need to go to capcom and ask them for handouts?

They actually thought about it, removing Kyo and Iori from the series after kof 98’ new hero arrival k’dash, but thought the characters had grown so popular it’d been impossible to get rid of them without receiving the backlash from the fans so they ended up keeping the characters.
Main reason why fan favorites like mature and vice are returning after been officially dead, I hope they can bring the new face team eventually and I don’t have to wait until a dream match comes out.

Garou became garbage. KOF and Garou should not become the WWE where superstars age and are replaced/gone. MOTW is the worst Garou of all time. No Andy (his student is awful), no Mai (instantly making MOTW worthless). a lot of reject designs like Marco and that blonde cop looking guy, Kim’s offspring waste roster space with too much tae kwon do for such a tiny roster. Rock <<<<<<< Geese. Terry looking like a has been loser.
it works for MK (though the new gen are so ghetto and sucky), and maybe Tekken, but KOF is better preserving the characters at their iconic best and freshness instead of rotting the classics while adding legacy characters that could NEVER substitute the legends.
KOF was never about older generations getting older, and new generations taking over. and when Garou went that route, it became its downfall.
You don’t see DC replace the original Justice League. they expand the multiverse but they preserve the classic heroes and villains at their prime (well at least for the most part).
KOF universe is better being timeless. it can have ongoing chronological sagas, but it doesn’t need dates nor birthdays.
MOTW is garbage? I think that is insanity. That game is great and even a blind man can see that. That being said, KoF does not need a time skip. That would defeat the entire purpose of KoF, to have an all star cast of SNK characters duke it out

Funny affinity seems to forget that back between 1995 and 1999 nobody really cared about FF until motw came along, i wouldn’t be surprised if motw has a bigger player base than ff3 to real bout 2 put together.
I dont even like motw that much, but it put ff on the map like none of those previous other games did, you can knock the characters all you like but your criticisms are lazy, i mean bob wilson generic south american who is a capo, sokaku generic old man with mystic powers, hon fu lazy jackie chan rip off, mai just a pair of tits, yamazaki typical look at me i’m crazy bad ass blah blah blah

I dont like motw, i prefer real bout, i like real bouts characters more i like sokaku i like hon fu and so on but motw was more successful than real about ever was or any other FF was
You’re living in denial
MOTW deteriorates at high level play. It’s typically why non-competitors love MOTW. If you actually took the game seriously, the game is super busted. From there, enjoyment of the game becomes if you like that busted stuff and think its fun. So, it’s not insanity to think MOTW is garbage with useless throws due to glitches, infinites and infinite block strings tier stratification, slow heavy normals for footsies, constant buffering to be ready for Just Defend guard cancel, Kevin Ryan, and among many other nuances that could make MOTW very tedious to play. If you like that kind of thing and don’t mind getting curb stomped by players like Giby or Nocturnal, then power to you.
Why do i feel that the sub boss is Duke and main boss is Jivatma?
The sub boss do look similar to Duke, not to mention duke seems fucking rich and is russian too

I don’t think it’s exactly them (Their names are Antinov and Cthulhu), but I definitely feel they were made as replacements. The comparisons are to obvious not to just be a coincidence.
His name probably isn’t Cthulhu. I’m only calling him that because he looks like a Cthulhu to me. I forgot we’re I got Antinov from
