I’m really excited to play people at ncr. So hype.
Well I picked this game up this past weekend, and I’ve gotta say, this is easily the best fighter I’ve played in a long time. No gimmicks, just straight honest fighting. I’m running Kula/Ryo/Maxima right now, and am still getting used to the ‘feel’ of KOF. I’ve played a lot of SF (particularly 3rd Strike), so getting used to KOF staple mechanics like hopping takes some work. I look forward to hanging around this section of SRK and learning stuff!
Dream Cancel has more content but i would suggest to stay on both forums, you will get some great help for the game here too.

So apparently a lot of guys have been getting online lately. In the past 5 days, I have played 8 different people with 3 and 4 bar connect only lagging once(then we reconnected and it was fine). I guess thats a good sign? I’m just trying to level up even more.

XBLA. They were above decent. I also want to say plz don’t complement me if any of the guys I played online post in here. I understand I’m considered “good” but I don’t consider myself good until I break top 8 at least. I got close at FR but I’m not there yet. A message saying “gg” will be enough. I truly appreciate the complements because it shows I’m no average joe, but please stop.

So I have figured out the characters that really just irritate me and tend to blow me out of the water right now. Of course due to work and what not most of my games have been online… although decent connections, still far from perfect.
Clark - This guy rapes me. Not nearly as bad as he did as I feel like I am beginning to get the matchup down a little bit better. Unfortunately online when I punish something that was unsafe or whiffed from Clark my combo will drop resulting in a minimal punish and a lot of the times beneficial for the Clark player.
Kensou - I have recently played a lot more of Kensou… He gets me into the corner and with his projectile and corner pressure I feel like there isnt much I can do… this one is really mostly a big lack of matchup knowledge… so any tips for him would be great. I mainly us K, Kula, and Claw. My sub team is Beni, Kim, Vice (I am the worst Vice player to grace this earth lol)
Still getting bodied daily. Still having a blast learning the game though… I cant remember the last time I lost this much in a game and enjoyed it at the level I do at the same time. I think I am finally getting a hang of the spacing and movement of this game. Far from optimal… but it is a slow progress. All the players online have been super helpful in assisting me of where I need to improve which is very much appreciated. This community is easily the best one I have seen out of all of them out there so far. Everyone seem to want everyone else to level up as much as they can and will do anything to help.

On another note, I just got back from a local gathering. I was literially the guy in the corner playing KOFXIII by himself. About 9 people playing UMvC3, 6 playing SF4AE, 4 playing BlazBlue… and myself playing KOFXIII. Le Sigh.
Oh, and there were about 15 playing Magic: The Gathering. I’m not sure what the hell that game was doing there at our fight night, but maybe they’re just preparing for what Capcom’ll turn SFxT into.
4 people playing BB? Seems like a fantasy land to me.

He beat Mr. KOF 6-2 in Grand Finals.
Bala beat Romance in Winner’s Finals 3-1.
Mr. KOF beat Romance 3-1 in Loser’s finals.
