Just called my local GS, they stated that they should be receiving it today. I doubt he knows what he is talking about. Most of these people that work at GS arent gamers themselves anymore. I will try later after their daily UPS shipment arrives.

Yeah, tell me about it. That’s usually the case with GameStop. However, when I pre-ordered KOF12 I was shocked that the cashier showed interest and even said that a GameWorks arcade (where I first played the game, myself) in the area had just gotten the game in and he liked it a lot. :wow:
yea i used to work at gamestop. Makes the experience much more enjoyable when a customer can actually ask questions and get actual specific answers about games instead of general sales pitches. Back on topic though, I’ll check my gamestop on the 23rd unless they call me earlier and pick up the game then.
I remember seeing Wii Hori sticks at my local gamestop. So when Tatsunoko vs Capcom was announced for Wii. I thought to myself I better pick one of those sticks up because they go up in price and are hard to find. Even if I dont currently own a Wii. So i called up the store and asked the lady if they had any instock. She had no clue what I was talking about. I even asked to speak with a manager and she replies, “I am the manager”. I was so angry at this crap cause it wasnt more than 2 weeks prior to this that I saw a Hori stick in her store.
So I went down there personally to make her feel like the stupid idiot that she was. Which she replied, "oh so that is what you wanted, I didnt understand over the phone. I couldnt believe the lack of knowleadge these GS reps have. I hate that store.:wasted:
I had nearly the exact same experience regarding the Hori Wii stick as you did, Projectjustice! The only difference is that I saw the stick availability online and I already have a Wii. :wgrin: I tried to pronounce Hori every possible way I could imagine. No dice.
time to check mom and pop shops 
The local GS said Thursday or Friday. I don’t 100% trust them, but I can afford to lose $5.

You guys are starting to give me hope and hope is a dangerous thing. It would be great to get some KOF action going this weekend. By the way, for the guy who said “I can afford to lose $5”, you can get refunds on the pre-order deposits at GS.
knowing my luck, im pretty sure that i wouldnt see the game until 10 of august X_X
Here’s more hope. Just called my local GS and the guy told me its coming in on the 24th.
I empathize with your situation, it’s not entirely expected in this day in age that every individual who works at a gamestore be some sort of game guru, but it needs to be more then someone who just works to pays the bills.
A few of my friends who have worked at gamestores in the past not only love videogames, they live and breathe games! Knowledge is one aspect of the job, hunger for it is a different thing entirely.

Honestly, I only put this news as 50-50 at best.
Argh, the wait until August 28th is going to be excruciating! At least EBgames finally actually has the game in their system though, already pre-ordered.
If I had a PS3 I would have just imported, I wish more games were region free on 360.
Never trust retailers dates. Never.
This game needs to hurry and get released already. EB is saying 2 more days so here’s hoping.
