KOF XI Thread :: Ver 2.0

Nah not as of yet man…I have Shodokan123 hard at work on them this coming week encoding EVO East SNK 2007 vids and trust me AS SOON as I get them I will mirror them to this thread as well.

Besides even all the NGBC stuff you found at my thread is old news my friend…a former life of mine…

FRX we are awaiting the DVD from shinblanka…and I got EVO North coming this weekend and someone doing that…

The thing is I can only do so much…I gotta rely on someone else to encode them etc and I am at their mercy as to when they get them done…so I offer as much incentive as possible or try to.

Poor DG
I wish I worked as hard as you.

I need a yob or something.

Well I got word that some vids will likely be up Tuesday night…so stay tuned!!

you are correct

Lately I have been playing kof 2003. In the ending of the art of fighting team someone attacked takuma. Was it ever revealed in xi who that person was that attacked him?

Thank you in advance.

No it wasnt really…no answer.

That did remind me, there were a fre things that KOF 2003’s endings posed that were unanswered in XI (at least to my meager knowledge of Japanese). Why did K’s arm flare up in 2003? Why did Leona go blood riot, and where is she in XI? Is Chizuru dead? Whatever happened to Chang and Choi? Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

:bdp::snkb: FTW

Hey judge, where in the IE do you play?

lol@how everyone forgot about that…including SNKP. :xeye:

It’s like they completely ignored the attack an just had another one of AOF’s trademark comedic game endings including a healthy Takuma… eh?

I was expecting some thing like whoever it was that attacked Takuma, Takuma falls, a pissed Ryo takes over dojo completely, steps up his training/game and officially becomes Mr. Karate II for KOF…

XII is going to be interesting to see, as it is the final game in this Ash Crimson arc.

Nope.
For all the importance it was given and the fact that the AOF team’s story in KOF XI begins with Takuma still being in the hospital (although he had long recovered and was just staying to be around the nurses)…they still didn’t bother to even explain who attacked Takuma and why…despite the fact he was supposed to know who attacked him.
Apparently Takuma himself no longer cares that he was beaten within an inch of his life, as he spends KOF XI concocting a crazy plan to get Ryo and King to hook up and produce his grandchildren.

–K’s arm flared up because apparently he was really angry at Mukai’s prophecy. Apparently, in 2000 he was supposed to have learned to control his flames but in 2003 he lost control again due to the stress of the situation.
This may mean that K may end up playing a big role against the “People of the Distant Past” in KOF XII, but I doubt it. Most of the major side plots in KOF 2003 seemed to be completely ignored in KOF XI (see Takuma’s attacker, Geese having an interest in the new KOF, Hotaru being under surveillance by Geese’s thugs).

–Leona in 2003, like in Iori in XI, went Riot of the Blood because Mukai’s group (the “People of the Distant Past”) are gradually releasing Orochi’s power again, like the Hakkeshu did in 96-97. Mukai broke Orochi’s Seal in 2003, and Magaki trying to spark Orochi’s awakening in KOF XI.
Leona is stayed behind in KOF XI because she is obviously a danger to herself and the team since she could go Orochi at any moment.

–Chang and Choi (and Duck and Terry) convinced Kim to team up with the Fatal Fury Team so they could get a vacation from Kim. Terry needed another partner…Andy was too busy training himself (seems he’s giving up KOF), Mai was looking for Andy (and after 2003 she knew he wouldn’t be at KOF), Joe was entered in a Muay Thai tournament, Mary is pissed off at Terry due to his lack of commitment, and Tizoc joined Jenet’s team since she promised to donate money to his charity.
Duck volunteered to be Terry’s new partner, and Kim fit the bill for the other partner.
In reality, Playmore wanted to axe the Korean team so they could make the MOTW team. Chang & Choi got a break from Kim and I guess Jhun stayed home and whacked himself to pics of Athena or something.

where did you learn all of this?
nevermind don’t answer that

I might change my team to
Jyazu/Eiji/Gato (L)

Is that team any good?
btw, my Eiji is a beast.

That team certainly has some beast potential…one keepaway…one Safe as hell and rushdown/keepaway…one Just raw priority…

then i guess that’s a yes

I just prefer to play 1 char at a time.
I’m not into all of those fancy QS combos.

I used to say that, but when you do them they give some enormous satisfaction indeed! Even at first when it’s two simple jump-in combos combined. I know that if I work at it, I can make some good use of QS. Problem is,the only duo I can consistently do QS combos with is Kyo and Iori, neither of which is on my current main team (Eiji,Ash,Terry (L) )

yeah, you’re right.
but as long as they’re not like those ridiculous 100% QS combos.
I don’t like em, and the ppl I play can mash out of a dizzy in a second

I’m just stuck here at home, no transportation.
and all my friends are playin everyday, and I’m afraid I’ll lose my spot of best of Glady’s.

but, I need to have Jazu and Gato (my 2 best chars)
my Gato is still kinda scrubby when I think about it.
my Kula is good, but she’s boring to me

Eiji is cool, but lacks big meaty combos (I don’t like having to do a combo, then get back on defense)
Ozzy is Ozzy

Just can’t find a good middle char
some1 just suggest anybody, I can play almost anybody.

You mean like a middle tier character? I’m a Terry fan,so my vote’ll go to him. His pokes are really good, except when you come up against that bastard Gato. Otherwise, Terry’s one of the harder characters to approach, at least in my rather …humble experience. Another one I usually do well with is Benimaru. He has easy-to-do combos and cancels, but is a bit lacking in general. My last suggestion is Iori, who, while a bit bland, can still be a threat. Watch some Pung Ko vids and see what I mean with Iori.

EDIT: Quite frankly though, just stick with Eiji. He’s awesome, and can really hold his own against the big boys. He’s my Gato killer more often than not.

I’ll try all of them.
shoot, i’m bored, bout to just put on a pair of slippers and walk to an arcade

I wanna play Pung Ko, his rush prolly wouldn’t work on me.

what about Shen? Or maybe K’
