KOF XI Thread :: Ver 2.0

yes.

(filler)

Anybody have some good Terry strats?

I didn’t see any in the other thread.

The Judge watch Steve Harrison play Terry when the EVO East KOFXI vids hit and it will answer everything for you.

I wanna see those vids

Anywho Ive finally got my hands on this game and it is tons more fun than I figured
Ive been running shingo (L) and some mix of kensou/ash/gai/jazu
Jazu is stupid if people dont know how to beat him
the sad thing here at this arcade people play KoF 97 the most (though some 98/2k2 as well)

but huge thanks to this thread for the information inside it, honestly helped my transition into the game a lot

also any advice for a budding ash player I honestly go for the cr. A x2 into flash kicks too much

EDIT: and or some kensou stuff, I had some vids back home but not on me right now

For Ash you wanna use his pokes as well…his back+b forward+b pokes work great…and also his qcfx2 p super which you know they will roll…wait on them to roll and punish…Ash is pretty straight forward to be honest.

OMFG
I landed the ash 100% combo on this n00b that was talking stuff yesterday.

Which brings up my question.
What’s the best follow-up to Ash’s HCF+P move?
I’ve been following up with flash kicks.

Id guess flashkicks/QS/that flash kick super/ldm

About Ash,you also wanna use his hyper-hop E. His A projectile is good because you can run in after it and mess up your opponent, though not as much as the qcf x 2 super. Kudos to DG for these tips.

so umm, when are these evo east vids going to be up…and where.

Shodokan123 is the one encoding the vids…there are like 140 of them and I will ask him today what is the status.

EVO East SNK 2007 EDIT-If you all wanna know the Official EVO East SNK 2007 Full Results and characters used here they are…to wet your appetite for the vids lol.

**Also Chopa is right about the followups to Ash’s Hcf+p…you can even reset into QS if you want…many many options.

Opponents don’t roll, they jump over Ash’s super.

Ash doesn’t have a fwd B

For a variation of combo, do:

crouch C, back B.
crouch C, qcf x2 B/D
crouch B, crouch A, crouch A, qcf x2 B/D
holding back, crouch C, fwd A, qcf x2 B/D works I think.

Yeah his hyperhop E is good, that’s what I meant when I said jump E. His hyperhop C is very annoying too, mix it often with crouch B crouch A. When any of them enters, do qcf x2 B/D and dreamcancel. Practice his combo in the corner with leader super.

After the Hcf C, you have these options:

in the corner: super cancel into the leader super, then combo them.
out of the corner: super cancel into the leader super, down up B, on the first hit cancel into back fwd A, wait until the other is almost about to touch the ground and do qcf x2 E
out of the corner: super cancel into his Qcf x2 A/C super, the ball will lead them bouncing to the corner, follow it, and when you are in the corner start the leader super and combo.
a quarter of screen away from the corner: supercancel into the leader super, down up B, cancel on the first hit into back B, and combo them with the leader super combo.

As for pokes on the ground, use and mix:

crouch A, back B, crouch D, Stand C, and Stand E. Mix up some hits with back D for a breakdown in the rhythm, and prepare for if they react or to keep attacking again.

Well most noobs/intermediate players will try to roll past his super…and when they jump I am waiting on that too…both equal free combo.

bump

Can’t find any good Ramon vids, can any1 help me?

and remember to abuse the qcb+C cancel.

Eh, if I am not mistaken, this infinite can only be done after you initiated a bug which enables 2 of your characters on-screen.

Furthermore, there is an additional condition that one can not be hit by the opponent before this.

At that range, I would suggest QSing instead. However if you know that the blocked string is going to get blocked, one should either do the dp A or teleport. The best option: Do nothing and slam. XD

hmm
On Youtube, I was watching tons of NGBC matches, and a few XI matches involving Jazu.

I’ve watched almost every match with Jazu in it, and they all seem the same to me.

I really don’t like how these ppl play Jazu.
No offense to any pro Jazus out there, but I’m gonna find my long lost best friend and ask him to loan me a Camcorder.
I think I just gotta show how I play Jazu to the world.

I can’t neccasarily just post-up a guide on him, cuz I can’t do good guides. So basicly:
I’m more-so rushdown, than most ppl’s keep-away, but i still take advantage of his s.E and j.E. Just less spammage of those moves.

No, i’m not a spinblade spammer,
Yes, I do use all of his projectiles,
and I know several styles of play with him, like pressure/guard strings & zoning.

I know sometimes I gotta revise my searches, but I don’t think I see anything better on Youtube.

EDIT: There was 1 Jazu I liked in 1 of DG’s 2000 vids.

Well, I haven’t unlocked him yet, but I’m somewhat interested in picking up Jazu, so I’d like to see what you’ve got…

–flux

He has moved and changed his phone#.
So, It’ll be hard to find him.

i’d have to film it in an arcade, since I lack a copy.

Jyazu isnt used much I see him every now and then and a couple at FRX…and I recall Rusheddown using him in EVO East…

Right?

2morrow I’m gonna go play XI at a local arcade.
Just to make sure i’m clear to do this.
I occasionally lose my skill, since my only option of play is at arcades.
Need to up my Kyo, K’ and Gato skills b4 EVO West SNK.

DG: Is there anybody posting up the EVO East and FRX vids, I try to stay up-to-date in your other thread, still didn’t find any footage.
