EDIT: 2P Duck wierdness explained!

Also about Hayate not being in the Japanese tier list…

Damn Hayate’s in a class of his own LOLZ.

Damn Ryo!

Finally made A class ! ^o^’’

Heh…Anyway, I loved Jyazu from the start, incredibly versatile, never seen a character with that many options, and overall a great design. Playmore made him a lot of fun to play with.

Gai and Hayate are on another level imo.

THey take way too much practice to use effectively. But are deadly once you understand them. Like Ryo I guess…

Hmmmm 2P Duck explanation…

Well I dont really know what to say, KOF tends to be weird like that. It might be true.

Taiwan put Shen and Duolon in a tier with Whip and Shingo? Thats a slap in the face. Screw that tier list.

for reals

Taiwanese style doesn’t cater to Shen and Duo much, I guess. Duo doesn’t really do all that much damage without 2 bars +1 skill point as leader (and that can be SS’d) and what’s he going to do off a QS without meter? And he’s not exactly too great on defense- he’s okay but not exactly good, either.
And Shen is a fairly straight forward character- no low threat unless he has meter. Defensively he’s got what? Autoguard far C? Sure he does a bunch of damage with bar and/or skill, but who doesn’t at this point?

It might seem harsh to rank them that low, but there are reasons. Let’s discuss reasons, not just go “omg character should be higher/lower wah wah wah”

duo lon has palm combos for damage, which does pretty good damage and easy to connect from a QS.

Still doesn’t make sense to tier them with Whip and Shingo. Shen does good stun and damage. His j.C is good and he has some decent mixups. Add a setup for his Leader DM and he’s golden. But no doubt you have to sacrifice meter with the fool. Duo lon is overall better for his combos and QS ability with almost anyone.

I forgot to mention earlier, where is Vanessa on the taiwan list?

Another thing I’m curious about is why Ralf is up on the tiers besides the japan list. I like the guy but I think he shouldn’t be up there with Oswald, Clark, Kim, Eiji. Oh well.
Blah f*ck tier lists.

I’m gonna try learning Hayate again. People out here seem to have a really hard time getting pass his boomerangs for some reaosn. Wich is reason enough for me to learn his wierdness…

The Japanese are hella good with Ralf…so tiers can be subjective depending…on where you are…

Getting out of HH C corner traps with Kula and Oswald … thats my weak point. Im gonna start practicing ways to get out of that shit.

Anyone care to point me in the direction of some of the infinites? And whats the trick to getting oswalds downward slash to hit after a qcf+e?

Vanessa infinite:

  • Corner only. Has to be done off of a juggle-able Quick Shift, or Vanessa’s LDM.
  • (dp+A)xN
  • the next dp+A has to be done IMMEDIATELY after the prior one ends. Hard to time until you get used to it.
  • Horrible damage; but can be used to run out the clock.

Oswald infinite:

  • Corner only. Can be started off a reset, qcb+B (so about any juggle should work), or d/f+A (unblockable as they are standing or comming in the screen)
  • (d/f+A, qcb+B, A)xN
  • Each loop resets the combo counter, but it isn’t Break Fall-able.
  • The only hard part is timing the d/f+A after the reset. You have to do d/f+A right before they touch the ground, or else they can Break Fall.
  • Since it resets the combo counter the damage is high. No scaling ftw.

I’m not quite sure about how to get the extra slash from the qcf+E. But I think it has been said that the slash has to do with the hight of the opponent.

Yep that’s all there is to it…at least for now…until something else comes out…and its only an amount of time…

Ok, that definetly looks whacked to me… I rather go by Arcadia’s listing.

People here do not seem to realise the significance of posting 3 tier lists together.
While one list can be biased towards the said area’s playstyles, comparisons between 3 lists from different locations can be used to draw some univeral POVs.

It is not to nitpick but rather the fact that some characters are consistently rated highly everywhere.

Use the lists as a reference and a guide, not as an indication as to who you should use or why the characters you are using are not at where you think should be at.

A–fucking men…a reference…and that goes for any information guys…I don’t care f it is from a GOD in the game…use it as a reference…NOT THE END ALL BE ALL…

^where did u get the tier list from?

and who knows the max and oz tag combos? transcript plz

ps whens the next radio interview dg? :o

I think that other than Kula/Gato and the obvious trash characters the A,B, and C tiers can flip flop easy. People hype oswald up a lot and and I really dont fear him that much. I play malin and to me she should be higher in the tier list, so it really depends on who is being played more and in what way. Other than that I totaly agree with Empyrian.

I agree totally…
