KOF Maximum impact regulation a thread

Bumping this as I just got my email notification that it shipped out yesterday. Anyone else order it or maybe have it already?

Won’t be getting mine for a while, but hopefully I can find someone around my way that does have it so I can start practicing Xiao Lon.

I don’t pay 50 bucks for games anymore. And my current budget is only more reason that I shouldn’t. I would like to get this, but I’m gonna wait until I can find it a little cheaper later on. Plus, I didn’t get the regular one until a few months ago and we’re still playing that.

I do have questions about it though, so I am interested in finding someone who has it.

Mine will be here later today. But my homie down the street got it. So I borrowed it from him till mine comes. But so far a lot of stuff has been tweaked. The AI is insane. Sabaki Whoring, Inhuman Combos, and a list of other stuff. But so far its cool. So far I have played with all the new characters, but I really wanted to sit down with Ash and see how he played.

Ash
Ash is a beast. He’s is a lot better than I thought he would be. His Stylish Moves are very versitle. The majority of his Stylish Moves can be canceled on the 3rd hit, into the majority of his moves. He also has a counter which is done with 421+K. If he is hit during this stance press Kick on impact and he will reinact what he did to Chizuru when he stole the Yata Mirror. Whether this move has other properties. I don’t know yet. But he seems to gain a lot of meter when he is succesful. His 23663214+K has a couple of random finishes. He will either throw a fireball, do 1 or 3 Flash Kicks or nothing at all. When Ash does nothing at all its free game to combo from it but it doesn’t seem like he has a lot of combo opportunties from it. He also has 3 versions of the Sans-Culottes. Level 1- A,B.C,D Level 2-A,C,B,D Level 3-A,B,A,C. The more you pay, the longer Ash stays powered up. And from his Level 3 he can do another move while powered up 21441236+C. I’ll just dub it the “Crimson Explosion.” The only problem with Ash is Damage Scaling beats him over the head when doing long drawn out combos. But here with most characters getting the screw when it comes to damage it doesn’t come as a surprise to me. I think I may get with Blue Mary next. If somebody knows what her Level 3 does other than change her moves, let me know.

EDIT: When Ash does that counter he drains super meter and adds it to his own super meter.

Is it me, or does mary have shit for defense? O.o

Here’s Mary’s command list. Maybe you can find someone that can translate it.

heres the most important change “you can finally tech roll the fucking sweep!”
(thus avoiding easy dumb shit)why has nobody said this already?
if you played the old games then you should know all about it.
the sabaki/parry window is much shorter and much easier to punish.
throws are now 2p or 2k command and seem hella weaker.
these changes alone imo make it alot diff from mi2.

Thanks for the link but I figured it out. When you do “Mary’s Mode Switch” (641236+AC) what it does is temporarily opens up some classic moves for her. You’ll notice her change back into her classic stance. Like the Spin Fall to M. Spider. But the main thing is the (Mini) Dynamite Swing. Once you mode switch its 623+A, 623+B, and then when Mary finishes press (2+C) or 22+C and she will swing them round and round for about half of that life bar. You can also do charge 46+A, 46+B into (2+C) or 22+C. Or even 236+A, 236+B into (2+C) or 22+C. If I find out something else I’ll be sure to post.

havnt played the game myself, but from the looks of it mizoguchi looks pretty dum compared to fighters history… bummer How snk can make his moves look worse in 3D then a game 13 years old, who knows…

Also why the fuck does kyos final showdown no longer have fire, or shadows on it… Gawd snk, how the fuck do you ruin your own moves. Only snk could fuck up there own shit time and time again.

how is Mizo dumb looking? I just played a bit of it last night for the first time and he looks like he can put a good hurtin on someone…

agreed, mizoguchi looks pretty darn good to me
he dont look any worse than any of the other characters that have made the transition from sprites to polygons, in fact i can think of at least 2 off of the top of my head that look worse than mizoguchi, iori seth leona

Leona looks a lot better in Maniax for XBox. In fact… many of them do. Their faces in particular.

Does that apply to both stand alone sweeps and stylish arts ending in a sweep?
