I might be testing out Luise this Friday. Picked up some stuff with her and she’s a lot of fun. (and she has a lightsaber…)

she’s pretty simple plus just watch some vids like basicly it’s a lot of B,D,d/f+C because of the safeness, you don’t really have to jump in too much. If you miss time a jump in attack, and your ground hit isn’t part of the combo you can get sabaki’d. Avoid just throwing out charge back forward kick unless they are whiffing stuff, since the move is punishable. If they do block it I try to go for 214+p if they do a move that won’t punish the slicer then you’re home free. Try to use 214+p as smart as possible. The move is god liked but if they are doing a string that can be ducked you need to be careful because the throw will whiff. USE HER REVERALS, they are much better then sabaki in a situation where you know they will attack. Her overhead is simple (f+a) and can catch duckers easily into a DM. Avoid using strings like C,C, they are too slow if you’re getting locked down. I stick to B,D,d/f+C mostly. 3D,C is a good quick low. Her regular lows aren’t that great. Use the charge 2,8D mixups on wakeup, they are good and a regular 2,8D hit can lead to a DM. If you play mary you MUST learn chaining her slide, because her regular strings are too low. Also learn the distance from the wall to execute her DM to chain into a wall combo, even if it means ending a BnB combo early. Wall game is simple, either DM on wall bounce or 3B, charge2,8D into DM on the wall (though i’m sure you can do a bit more). I’ll be showing off simple stuff to do in matches in the next vid
Nice. I need to get my timing down on multiple slide combos, but the rest seems doable. I was looking for combo help and don’t use C,C is where I need to start since I use that a lot.
She doesn’t take damage well, but has a really really strong rush down. She’s like Dudley in my opinion, in that she has so much body movement and linkable shit that looking to parry can ruin you.
She has these cycle combos. Tap one button two times, then repeat a series of button pushes xN. I believe you can loop through them going to different ones as well. Not all of the cycle combos, there are breaks if you slow down or push away too far, but it usually gets the damage reset. She has a variety of finishers from there.
That’s just her ground stuff now. Her air game is complex…
I don’t know if I remember right, but in 2k6 she had 3 air dashes, now it’s 2, but the air 2&4 move now has a followup.

oh ya that geese is pretty bad ass, i mean the other guy wasn’t so great but man what a beat down. He’s good but some of his juggle enders are not safe.

To clarify and improve some of what I said about Luise…
She does retain her 3 air dashes, however, you can not go the same direction three times in a row. Air kk move can be dash canceled, but it has to be earlier than you’d expect it have to cancel. Once she starts to slow down, your window is over.
Air dash can occur from any move that gets you airborne. Luise has a 6k move that hits low then seems to do nothing, it is a flight starter.
It is possible to land a short jump hit, cancel to kk, cancel to air dash, and then pursue. (I don’t have anything reliable after that yet, still working on it.)

well the charcters im trying out now are billy and lilly (haha too good) Iori, wild wolf, and maybe kyo( not classic)… so i throw in some things when i get the chance to play this game more…
