So basically I’m trying to do this little combo.
LK Tatsu > Jab to Reset > KKZ.
I can’t for the life of me get the KKZ to hit my opponent while still airborne in the reset. So I’m guessing there’s something I don’t know about this combo.
Any tricky way to buffer the KKZ or something?
Any help would be much appreciated.
^ I’m gonna disagree with that. Whenever I would try the three downs after the jab, my success rate was probably 1% so I never bothered with it in game. After doing the first down before the lp the difference was so phenomenal it became a major part of my game - since you’re basically landing something more damaging than a demon from a simple cr.mk…
For some reason I can’t do it as well as I used to :xeye:
three downs as fast as possibe for, but I use a p360 so I think its a bit easier. I think JR Rodriguez explained a simpler way of doing it but I still have’nt managed to get it down.
To each his own, I just explained the method I and other people I know have had most success with.
JR’s method is as follows.
:d:+:mk:, :qcb:+:lk:, :lp:, :d:, :3p:
I have no idea how this works, but I’ve seen him do it. I think he must be unintentionally buffering down motions while doing the combo leading up to the jab reset, but I really don’t know, just know it does work, somehow.
Not trying to be an ass, but damn. That shits gonna be very hard to learn on a pad.
Edit: If you haven’t already you may wanna try setting like L2 to Punchx3. That way you eliminate the possibility of missing the multi-punches. (Assuming Punchx3 works consistently as a mapped button).
I can’t do it on pad, but this isn’t like a demon where you are pressing a lot of different buttons almost at the same time. I can see a pad not hindering you too much. For stick users, one thing that helps me execution is not pulling the stick all the way down. It doesn’t need to hit the edge to hit the switch.
When I do it this way nothing comes out. MAME’s input display shows that my input is correct. Am I pressing the down before lp too early?
When I do the three downs after the lp it comes out but by that time they have almost landed, and it’ll say either 9, 5 or 4 hit super art.
has anyone figured out a nice way to do dash kkz without requiring insane speed? Most of my dexterity and articulation in stick control is in the right hand i.e. button presses. Dash kkz would mean f,f,d,d,d + ppp incredibly fast which I cannot seem to do.
I tried messing with df,f,d,d+ppp but the few times it did come out I’m not sure if its cos I found a hack or I just mashed it out.
