Of course… their mistake may have been making a game that appeals so much to me. The more I like a game… the more likely it is a financial disaster/failure waiting to happen.
Fuck it all… at least I got this one great game from them. The rpg genre will now return to being 99% ho-ass bitch-made stupid ass shit that I don’t care about. It was silly to think that a franchise I loved and was enthusiastic about would ever have any kind of real future. Only the games I have 0 interest in will continue to be successful and sell multi-millions every year. What the fuck ever, fine.
That is terrible news. This game is very good, very vast and the series has a shit-ton of potential.
I passed it a week after release but now I feel like going back and replaying the whole thing again, with more emphasis on exploring. I’ll also probably buy that Pirate DLC. It always sucks when art so rich in lore crashes and burns.
i don’t know how they ever convinced a state govt. to give them $75MM to make a video game. it makes the funds raised on kickstarter look like peanuts.
