True bosses use TE2s

The TE2 is a good stick from a pure hardware standpoint, but it is lacking in features I would have expected to be standard on fightsticks (much less $200 ones).

But still, in the area of being well built, highly precise, and great feel… its hard to beat the TE2.

After using my TE2 since last November, then going back to play USF4 with my own custom stick for PS3/360, I have to say I like the TE2 better now. I think part of it is that I have like 3 springs in my custom stick in my JLF and it feels TOO stiff now, and I also think the joystick is just worn down quite a bit at this point from how much I used it.

IG needs to fix Sadira’s unbreakable instinct combos wtf!

At the risk of sounding pretentious, I think the japanese player base would actually like KI… but it has to get over its western stigma.

was darkstalkers popular in japan? Because I see some similarities in their artstyles.

Its similar in that its just a grab-bag of tropes.

I meant that gameplay-wise its very similar to SF4… but with 457.3% less suck.

It’s very footsies based

I’ve felt this way since week one, not pretentious at all. Some of the more notable American top players play KI, the same ones that play SF4 seriously. KI is super solid, if it was out on ps3 n 360 the community would be 3x larger at least and Japanese players would pick it up too. The stigma is real but when combined with a barrier of access its just too much. I really believe that over time this game will continue to draw more players in… So long as IG doesn’t go too crazy with expanding the mechanics of the game.

I’m hoping for that as well…I really wish they don’t go too crazy with KI. Some little balancing, fix some unbreakables, add new characters, facelift the menu system, add dojo for all characters for specific things, and maybe 1 or 2 new features. The recapture makes sense, and air-counter breaker (does that mean we can combo break in the air now?..confused me) is good enough for me.

Since they’re adding air breakers can they reduce the KV on juggles?

After having the game for almost a week I can say that I am really enjoying the game. I really need to work on successfully breaking more combos and countering breakers as well. I need to stop being greedy as well. I’ve played a few people and I would have a good amount of damage lost because i didn’t end a combo. That’s the marvel in me I guess. I’m really liking Jago, Thunder, Orchid, and Glacius. I do need some more people to play with so if y’all don’t mind please add me.

The basic thing to remember is that anyone can react to heavy doubles every time. So you really have to have a very good reason for using them.

You can react to mediums too… but its not easy, and its fairly simple to screw up the phycology on that reaction.

However, if you only use L and M then you are reducing breaks to a 50/50 game.

At the same time though, if you RPS your breaks, then you will lose alot, you really just need to try and pick up on tendencies.

Also, I’ve said this before but, Counter Breakers are not for when you know “what” your opponent will break, but for if you know “when” your opponent will break. This mechanic adds break timing into the information you should be paying attention too.
