I’ll see what that Team Spooky KI stream is looking like this weekend. I want the game to be fleshed out but yadda yadda theyre doing something different so I’ll sit and be patient.
So apparently there is a Killer Instinct tournament before the launch at the Microsoft store in Seattle. I havent played the new KI nor have studied it at all. Is it similar to the original, can you use the same tactics or is a completely new game? Glacius or Orchid the same?
Everyone is completely different.
Jago is the only character that probably feels familiar to anyone who spent a lot of time with the old games.
You can still do the old Flik Flak combo with Orchid, but she plays like a new spin on her KI2 version more than anything. Glacius is basically just a different character, everyone I’ve talked to at a store or truck tour that used to play him say he feels “slow” or generally different. Which makes sense because he’s basicaclly been turned into a zoner and has a completely different design build to him. Outside of a couple moves Thunder is a new character. Sabrewfulf still gets in that ass and has a few of his bite normals still, but otherwise new character.
I did talk to Koop though and he said that some of the old glitches for moves still work in this game. I think he said there was some type of glitch you could do with either a normal or throw that still works in this game.
Sabrewulf feels very similar to previous Sabrewulf to me. Him and Jago definitely feel similar. Initially it took me a while to get used to Jago’s moves because they are now QCB instead of df,d,db. Well that and I’m horrendous on a pad at execution.
Yeah those two seem the most familiar.
Thinking about it…I did my only pre order a couple weeks and some days (18 days, Oct 28th) after pre order launch (Oct 11th). Ordering 2 weeks after and not having my stick day one…not going to be happy. I would imagine that was a fast enough pre order to fit within the 22nd launch, but hopefully we’ll get confirmation on the specifics soon. Definitely going to cancel my store pre order today and just wait for the online order.
The preorders started on October 10th, but many people had issues on the website. I was lucky enough to get mine through on the 10th on the first try. I have my order confirmation about an hour after Zedox posted the link in here to the madcatz store. So I best be in the first batch!
On another note, my Taco Bell PS4 arrived 30 minutes ago. My wife is home and received it from Fedex. Too bad it comes with Knack lol.

I’m not a big fan of judging games by reviews, but I hear the reviews so far for Knack are terrible to ok at best. Pretty much like Ryse will most likely be, a nice tech demo and then forgotten.
Nah I’m gonna just hang onto it I think because I’ll eventually want one anyways, might as well just keep it so that when I do want one I won’t have to worry about it. But it might be tempting to flip it because that’ll be free money as you said. I have one coming from amazon that I had planned on flipping all along. But I don’t know I may end up selling both of them who knows, I have a few hours to decide lol. I’m just not strap for cash right now or anything.
You guys think that they basically HAVE to show us Shadow Jago today on the stream? I mean the game is out next Friday, and we have 0 info about Shadow Jago, other than we know if we got the day 1 XBL that we get him for free.
Well unfortunately the streams aren’t known for revealing characters. If Shadow Jago or Fulgore are going to get revealed, it’s going to be from a pre stream trailer. They’re not going to show them on stream first since I’m sure there’s some type of agreement that they must be gold/trailer ready first.
They SHOULD but they DONT have to do anything until just before launch. As far as the BBB is concerned I don’t think we can get them on anything unless the game is available for purchase and we still can’t be notified of what he is. They have a potential week and some days to string him along before it officially becomes a legal issue.
Also…I was talking with some people on the DH forums and they said apparently quantity or back order could be the criteria for whether or not you’re getting a stick next week.
I have a digit showing in quantity, so I’m guessing I’m in the clear.
Why do they think that is the criteria? Just wondering, I got the quantity as 1 so I hope I’m good too.

Just straw grasping based on what others have said on the forums. I’m guessing a few people might have the 1 on the back order which man mean they purchased after the date required for 22nd shipment. I haven’t seen anyone specifically say that yet in their posts, but supposedly there is a discrepancy.
I can confirm that I have a “1” on both “Back Ordered” and “Quantity”. I preordered it a month ago but I guess I didn’t make it. Looks like ill be recording with my hands on a controller for a couple of weeks lol.

Dammit… if that’s the criteria that means they’re basically pulling sticks at near random to ship on launch. There was rumor that purchase date might not be the only criteria for who gets sticks. I only ordered like 15 days ago and might be in the clear. Oh boy…this isn’t gonna end well.
