Great… I hope positive news comes this week about the sticks. I Canceled my preorders from Amazon and Gamestop. I just have my Madcatz preorder now…
I just saw this offer. It’s only the Round One version of the game. But do you get Shadow Jago as the free rotating character without this offer?

looking at double helix’s track record it looks like they studied triple time on making this game, it’s the only reason to get an xbox one imo
nah this game is better than the old one, they improved on what the first one was. nothings been stripped from it, you play it exactly the same with extra added in
Don’t get your hopes up. Gamestop and Amazon both changed their release dates to 12/13 or 12/14 last week.
If I don’t get the TE2 on launch day from Amazon, chances are I will buy an X1 wired controller and mod my current joystick. And if that ends up working out fine and I can figure it out, I’ll then cancel my TE2 preorder.
But I still have hopes after that tweet by MarkMan because I was one of the first people to preorder the TE2 on MadCatz website.
This TE2 news is quite troubling…
I really wanted a stick for that launch day KI (hell, I’d take “close to” as well at this point), too. The taking money from my account burned me harder than I predicted it would and had to do some…ahem. “trimming” on some my pre-paid off launch day fun…fighting games, man.
Any idea how Shadow Jago plays? I hope they don’t go the lazy route and just give him Akuma shit.

Why Spectator mode so important for KI or any game for that matter?
They give you a free rotating character if you don’t spend any money on the game to begin with. Basically if you buy the Round One version it’s’ the free rotating character (Jago for now) PLUS you also permanently receive the extra 9th character, Shadow Jago. He’s yours once you buy the offer and you can only get him through that offer.
He most likely will have some of his missing KI2 moves like the slide. Other than that it’s up in the air. Yet, since Double Helix is very in tune with the psychology of fighting games and fighting game players, you can expect him to play a little differently from Akuma I would think.
It means the ability to watch the match going on in a lobby even you your aren’t fighting in it. Lobbies without spectate mode are almost worthless.
To be clear though, we aren’t sure if they are in or not. There was just a wierd, confused, muddled half answer on the last stream that cast doubt on this.
Also, the fine print on the shadow Jago card says until February 14. So I don’t think you’ll need to spend $60 to get him for long.
Going to Best Buy later today to pick up my Xbox Live/Shadow Jago card. Best Buy should be sending me my 20 dollar MS points promo code soon.
Unless shadow Jago is really awesome… I think in gonna wait until February. I’ve got live paid up year in advance already.
I’m just gonna give them the benefit of the doubt of him being awesome. I wouldn’t have bought it without the promotion that’s for sure.
Yeah I know what it does, I am no stranger to spectator mode from Star Craft to Super Street Fighter IV AE.
I just don’t get why spectator mode is a big deal.
Some how I think that come in a form of a receipt or email instead of a dedicated card. Which shouldn’t matter as long as the code works.
I got a few season passes and other products/downloads via receipt or email, it just doesn’t feel as satisfying if you know what I mean.
Its also why I would p[refer a Physical Retail copy over Net download.
Just make sure you purchased online for in store pickup. I’m pretty sure it is for online purchases only.
I purchased in store and trying to get the $20 promo code had me running around on the phone with BB for 3 days straight. They didn’t end up sending me the $20 promo, but they did send me another 12mo of XBL instead, so I’ll take that over the $20 promo. So basically I got 2 years of XBL + Shadow Jago for $60. I can’t really complain in the end.

Yeah man I called them the night after I purchased it saying I didn’t get the code yet. They said I’d get it within 24 hours. I had nothing the following day, so I called back. They told me that I would have it within 24-48 hours and they gave me a reference number, and verified that I had the right email address.
2 days later, I had nothing so I called back. I told them the situation and the guy on the phone felt bad for me as well. They then told me that the supervisor was going to watch the status of the code getting sent to me, and it would take 24-48 hours, and I asked the guy why does it take so long? He flat out said he had no clue and felt bad for me about the whole situation, but said it will go through and if not, the supervisor would call me within 48 hours if it did not go through.
So I then figured I’d never get it, and placed an order on their website with my wifes email, so that I could get the code emailed to me. Like 30 minutes later, I got an email from best buy to my email, and it was a promo code. I noticed it said it was a 12mo code, so I entered it and it was indeed a 12mo code lol.
So I cancelled the order that I had just placed online.
I never shop at best buy, and this is yet another reason why I will steer clear from them again in the future.
