DP is reliable on wake up against cross up attempts. He feels very solid. He is a shoto, but i feel he’s more versatile in options and moves than a basic shoto.
Glacius may look weak, but he is actually very deadly. The unblockable is what makes him very dangerous. The only problem he has is slow mobility, and easy to see and break combos, unless you do manuals. His slow mobility actually isnt much of a problem.
Its a predictable string which is good and bad. Its very good if you can read your opponent and which part they want to break so you can counter. Its a good bluff string. Its bad, if you cant bluff or guess what theyre gonna break
That unblockable seemed kind of under whelming to me (again, I haven’t played the game.) it gets avoided by lots of stuff and leads back into the ranges doubles…which seem easy to break.
But you got a chance to play it didn’t you? So maybe you could talk more about the unblockable and it’s use.
The unblockable, itself, is underwhelming unless youre good at faking out opponents or if theyre not paying attention. In tandem with his other moves, it becomes very reliable and terrifying. Hail, and lance make unblockable terrifying, If you know their spacing and where theyll be, it is a true unblockable setup. If they attempt to jump over hail, if you know where theyll land, theyll land into the unblockable and you get your auto confirms off of it. If they stay still and block hail, then you get the unblockable for free. Lance also helps you keep them in check and you can unblockable after lance. The only things that can really get out of these set ups are moves that go through projectiles. Jago’s wind kick goes through hail, but before he hits you, you can do a close unblockable and it will hit jago out of it. Otherwise, if youre not fast enough for close range unblock, then you can just ice lance him. Sabres jumping slash is a good choice as well, but sabre has to land at the end of it and if space correctly, he’ll land into an unblockable
Yeah unblockable sounds like it’ll be pretty strong as the game goes on. The amount of things Glacius will be throwing at you, the fact that you have to constanttly be moving or face an unblockable projectile will really keep people on their toes. You cant just block his zoning game and inch in like vs a traditional zoner. You’ll eat unblockbles all day and he basically will force reckless play.
Sabrewulf is just good old get in and get durpy character. He has all of the tools to close the gap really fast and actually has a strong GTFO me move for a character that is completely rush based. He is truly a KI1 character in KI3 and he should be confortable for a lot of people who are just used to getting in and doing combos.
I also have seen glacius throw a close hail. That way if jago tweaks out and does wind kick, and the hail hits him after his projectile invul ends, which breaks his combo and let’s glacius go nuts.
Yeah Sabre’s dp looks pretty strong. It covers his whole body so he’s most likely immune to all jump ins, including cross ups. His only possible issue may end up being character specific issues with his footsie game vs other characters or having trouble getting past certain zoning games when low on meter.
Thats because he isnt. He has the highest damage output atm, and is very aggressive. His defense isnt terrible either. Just depends on the player using Sabre.
Sabre seems to be the best character, I was just noticing that the debate became who looks weaker, Jago or Glacius?
If Chief Thunder is a grappler, I wonder how he will turn out. Grapplers seem hard to balance as they are either really good or not too good. Plus due to their high damage potential, they are usually the first characters to be figured out.
Grapplers usually run through the issue of having harsh counter matchups to counter act their ability to be nearly unblockable at close range and disrespect a lot of pressure games. We’ll see how that works for Chief if that’s how he’s gonna work.
Another interview with the mastermind behind the music, Mick Gordon.
Man im so ready for this game, love what Ive seen sofar.
Every character looks strong in there own way, The newly added features are perfect. TBH going back and looking at the E3 stuff, this game would have gotten pretty dull really quick without the addition of the new mechanic’s.
I’m also impressed with how they aren’t getting there info mixed up and no one letting anything slip with as much press and coverage they have been doing… It should be fairly easy to slip up and let something out but they have keep things on lock.
I’m highly impress with the kinect features, It makes me wonder just HOW powerful the kinect is, will it truly seamlessly remember who’s who and log them in with there button config? Or will it just be a hassle like the old one…
I think microsoft would have really changed the game if they would have stuck to there DRM guns.
