Hope you guys at least try to play the game any way you can. Friends who may get an Xbox One with the game nearby etc. I really feel like this will be the first mainstream fighting game that really pays attention to the players and doesn’t skimp on the features that should have been in fighting games for the last 9 years. Plus, it’s Killer Instinct.
If KI wasn’t the only X1 game I wanted, I’d probably have an X1 preordered right now. Doesn’t mean I don’t want to play KI, just that $500 is a lot to pay for one game, especially a game I haven’t played and don’t know if it’s worth the money.
I just know what’s worth the money for me, and I feel I’ve been playing fighting games long enough to realize that this will be something really good in the long run. What’s worth it is different for different people (I honestly don’t like a lot of the games that other people like) and as soon as I heard about the game and the people working behind it, I was sold.
I’m sure it’ll be out to play at some store day one, yeah.
If you’re debating on a ps3 at launch compared to xbox at launch what games got you really hooked for each system.
Because to me if your getting a system at launch it should be all about the launch games, or a 1st gen title that you know you want…
If its about just having a systems then you should probably wait until after 1st quarter to purchase a system, unless you just want to support a brand.
I’m wondering if this would be a solid punishing tactic late game. Keep in mind I’ve only watched vids of it being played not played it myself
Say for example. you are canceling an auto-double, linker or shadow move which is successful and grants you a 4 second lockout.
Do you have time to go into Instinct Mode for max damage for punish?
So far, only saber wolf really has a damage boosting instinct.
Jago and sadira instinct also opens up new combo opportunities, but I think jagos is better for defense/opening people up, and sadira a looks better for mixups.
Yeah the mind games will be pretty nasty. Using shadow counter to alpha counter, then the other guy starts trying to input the shadow breaker in time, then…you realize in that split second they are trying to break out of the counter and go for a counter breaker, but they stop on the second input for the shadow breaker because they figure you’re going for a counter breaker and you end up whiffing your bluff and get punished. Which of course the same could happen during a shadow attack in general.
Mind games. Dat 3rd Strike. Which means early on it’ll be a solid punish for things, but late game it’s looking like people will turn it into a whole execution/mind game to fight back for control of the block situation.
Oh and yeah, you’ll be able to do what you were asking.
Man, from what I see, Anti-Airing in this game will be critical, you do not want people jumping in on you and with the weakness of DP’s in this game, there is nothing stopping you from jumping.
Long as the DPs and AA normals have strong hit boxes and the vulnerable hit boxes aren’t rather large should be fine. Still can’t really do much but make assumptions on the AA game until the game releases or we se a lot more of the top players like Bukooth or Rich play. I wanna see those 2 in an exhibition to see what’s really going on with the game competitively so far.
『We’ll just have to wait til Thursday to have some of these questions answered. DPs and AAs weren’t too bad from when i played, but that was far long ago.』
