I’m interested to see how Fulgore fairs in this game. I always thought he was a pretty cool character to play as. That goes for the majority of the characters, as well.

For the record that issue was with one devdeloper (the makers of lococycle) who had to use a PC since their game wasn’t ready for the dev kit. Every other company there was running on actual dev kits. You can watch youtube videos of Xbox Ones sitting in front of all of the people playing KI.

So people are saying its unlikely KI will be at evo…well if someone just bought the console then couldn’t we limit the number of entrants and just host the game on 1 console?
You can still play in tournament without being an Evo game. SRK has vowed to show top 8 of the Skullgirls side tourney @ Evo because of the previous years turnout and the outpour of support from people who don’t even compete in it.
Evo being Sony exclusive has started to become an issue as games like Marvel drop frame rates regularly on PS3 and the pools will only be 2/3 on top of that. Plenty of games are still pulling turnout without being Evo games and depending on how its marketed and the general reception among tourney players, it could still get top 8 time and a sidde tourney at worst. You don’t need to be a shoe in for a main Evo gsme to have fun with a fighting game and get people to compete in it. Show that the game is fun and that it can overcome stigmas and biases and the rest will come.
Marvel 3 is still basically tied for biggest game at tourneys despite its complaints, Skullgirls is basically gettting money thrown at it even though its an 8 girl indie game. With that Killer Instinct has already been shown the path. You just need people that want to play the game competitively enough to fight for it.
I have faith the game will turn out good but I just worry people taking their anger out on MS will take it out on KI.
Is there any dedicated site to KI that maybe we can start building?
If KI is going to have a community it’s gonna be up to the fans to show it has a committed following.

They haven’t made a new Instinct since 1996 and the last I heard of people playing KI competitively was probably like 6 years ago. If thre was a site its probably defunct and since its a new game it’d be better to just start from scratch. The only guys I know from SRK that used to play KI were Mike Z and DiosX. Which they played the first game. I heard people generally didn’t like playing KI2 competitively.
Technically the last KI game was KI Gold. Coincidentally, that was also a launch title…
Gold is basically 2 plus any way.
An I see…well I guess as more details come in the community will eventually have a dedicated site. I’ll do my best to make some vids on it and maybe get some productive conversation going.
As far as system mechanics go what do you guys wanna see happen?
Personally I hope the damage output is high and that reversal windows are low…and plz have block stun unlike sf4.
