Even though Joe The Condor left this thread I would like to reply to her / his / it post.
What about driving video-games?
I do not play FPS video-games.
I also use joy pad for versus fighting video-games.
I do not find that Joe The Condor is wrong.
I do find that Joe The Condor is unclear.
However I am unclear at times too.
Joe The Condor should have clarified, not hinted,
that Joe The Condor can not deal with a keyboard when playing versus fighting video-games.
I can say that: “I am having an hard time playing versus fighting video-games with a keyboard”.
It looked more like that Joe The Condor was implying that it is the same for everyone to me instead of pointing to Joe The Condor.
^ That’s unfortunate. I tried the SmartJoyFrag for PS2, it doesn’t seem capable of recognizing multiple presses at the same time. Instead of 1+2+3, it registers as 1,2, THEN 3.
There’s a few more of these types out there IIRC, anyone try the rest?
The problem I see with a keyboard is the fact you can’t use it at tourney gatherings and the like.
Well, for people that play fighters on DC, there is a keyboard for that console and I think one for PS2, but still, its impractical. I would think keyboard users would get even more flack than pad users if they were to show up at tourneys.
I am trying to alleviate this issue by engineering a keyboard from a controller. I recently bought a 3rd party PS3 controller to see if I could. Bad idea. The controller gets sync issues and will not connect to a PS3, nor my PC (Yes, you can use PS3 controllers on PC). But be not weary, my quest continues. One day I shall manufacture a keyboard and no more will keyboard users have to make due with what is readily available for consoles.
While I am not too interested in the UPCB, the Cthulu board looks fantastic, and the Plastic Enclosure also looks perfect for what I intend to use. I thank you for these. This ought to make my project a whole lot easier.
