fuck that keyboard shit, you know what’s good? DDR dance pads. I can do 360s and QCFs on that thing all day, that must mean something, right?
ddr?
Don’t be silly.
Yeah, DDR is for wimps. Play PiU.
hcf are easy. The trick Black Shroud works, and there are several techniques besides that, one I use is lock the fingers in place and rotate entire hand. asd asd asd asd asd. For 360, I do asd wa. There is a very slight pause between the hcf and u-ub-b. It’s easy to develop tricks on keyboard because they’re much, much softer and less resistant than buttons on sticks.
Flat keys suck a metric fuck ton of ass. I need keys that stick out like half an inch and make a loud CLACK when you press them. It’s just what feels right for me.
Laptop types all the way. These fuckers never get stuck.
I’ve been using keyboards for a while. Though, it can become a bit frustrating in certain areas of execution for moves, once you get the hang of it, it really isn’t too difficult. What’s annoying, probably especially, are commands like throws and so-called technique of “pianoing keys”, in general. But even then, these moves can be done if you practice and try to understand the inputs.
By “commands like throws” I suppose you mean 2-button throw inputs, right? I just do that by pressing both keys with the same finger.
Yeah, but even when you do that, because of the way certain keyboards read inputs, it’ll often read one key after an other, instead of two at the same time. Thus, causing an annoyance for performing throws. So it can get a bit blah. :looney:
Hm… I’ve never had that kind of problem. I guess my keyboard is one of the better ones then. :bgrin:
I know, right? My keyboard is awesome.
hmm keyboards and beat em ups really sound like an odd combo to me :wtf:
I can pull SS2 Tenha Fuujin Zan every time on keyboard, and all those SS2 and SS3 supers with long commands, and hidden SS5sp moves like Gedo’s shit throw (same command as Tenha Fuujin Zan), Nakoruru’s Apehuchi Kamui Rimse, etc
Keyboard also has this special feature I noticed by chance: If game waits to certain serie of inputs like in dial-a-combo, if you press buttons on keyboard really fast game will only catch presses needed.
In SS4 there is S.C.S. (Samurai Combo System), or simply, dial-a-combos. 14-hit combo that charges Rage Gauge is CD,A,A,B,B,C,C,A,B,C,C,C,C,C . The kayboard player shouldnt time each hit and look if previous connected, he should just make sure that CD,A,A connected, then he can press A,B,C,A,B,C,A,B,C…really fast, and game will miss wrong inputs and catch only correct ones
I tried to play on a keyboard a couple of times, using MAME… but I suck at it. Don’t like it
Wow, it’s really rare to find a keyboard where you can’t successfully press 2 buttons at the same time O.O
That’s an issue that came up with some Keyboard->Console adapters out there. But on a computer that’s really crazy. The worst keyboard I found had a 3 hit limit. I could still press 3 buttons down at the same time but one of them would appear to stay pressed afterwards. I’ve never seen one that doesn’t allow 2 buttons at once.
Lol you mean a keyboard that doesnt supports Ctrl+Alt+Delete ? Thats 3 buttons you know…
xD
Yeah, you can do a 360 on a keyboard at anytime? Bullshit.
You can, yes.
