would c. lk->c.lp->c.mk->tatsu/hado be considered one of kens BnB? and also…
what is the difference between that and c.lk>s.lp->c.mk->/tatsu/hado? does the standing lp do anything different?
Also, i have a really hard time doing c.lk->c.lp->srk =\ it really bugs me… although I can’t really ask for tips… idk, just throwing that out there xD erm, maybe the fact that i’m still on a controller? idk.
You never HAVE to. It’s not like the game will shut off after x amount of minutes if you haven’t completed the trials. I didn’t grind on em. When I first got the game, I could only do the first 1 or 2 hard trials for some characters (Except Akuma… I did all of his after playing the game for about 3 weeks…).
Now, I just go back and breeze through most characters (except ones with mash moves like Chun, Blanka and Honda) just for fun when I’m bored of training mode.
Just do them at your own time. As your game gets better, the challenges will naturally become easier.
yeah I know :X it’s just… when I had gotten kens 4th, I was so determined to do his 5th… especially because the only thing stopping me was the c.lp–>c.mp–>srk timing :X I could pretty much do the srk–>air tatsu every time. But damn, that was so annoying and repetitive, failing over and over and over xD
I have a love/hate relationship with Kenneth Masters
I was watching a video of IFC Yipes vs. Sanford Kelly’s Gouken, and I noticed Ken moving forward right before a fireball, similar to how he moves forward before a kara throw.
Yes kara fireball is possible, as well as Kara-tatsu, Kara-focus, kara-srk and all the other stuff we need to get close. Its a shame we have to glitch to get to our desired spot!
I know this is prob off-topic but I wanted to say it somewhere.
Do you guys notice that the people that have microphones on ranked, are ALWAYS [9/10] Ken? Over the past month every time I see someone have a mic out of like 20 matches, he choses ken and im like ‘‘another ken with a mic’’
Today I had two others. Before he chose his character, I was like ‘‘This is another Ken’’ and they both chose Ken, and I was laughing to myself. Always kens that have mics. Is it a personality thing that they like Ken? Or something lol? like those types pick kens. Yal notice that? =P
And yea I havn’t really done any hard trails either TBH. I stopped at kens 4th 2 weeks ago or so, but I didn’t really try to finish it (And I heard its his hardest) tried goukens, sagats though. Both were pretty easy
Alright so I tend to hold down back a lot when I do my combos just for the purpose of having block ready. I find that if I have a full super meter and i’m trying to do something simple like cr. low kick, cr. jab xx fierce shoryuken, my super tends to come out. I usually go from the down back position to hitting the down forward position twice, riding the bottom of the gate, but it seems that if I lift up even just a little tiny bit by accident, my super or a hadouken comes out.
Is there another way I should be doing this? How do you guys do that particular combo execution wise? This is on a joystick of course.
Yea I absolutely hate DP spamming ryu’s and kens. Thats the only thing in this game that really frustrates me. Dping through blockstrings, through jumps, when I jump in and do a safe combo, even during lag people can mash through it.
Ken is a good character for EX though, I have not really seen any good Ken use his super really , but I have what you have. I even tend to just throw out a random EX, just so I have 3 bars and don’t waste 4 lol. I guess you just gotta been really precise, maybe even hold the <- after your first time, until the shoryuken ends idk.
apparently you can K-Super and K-Ultra as well. Although, I can imagine that the K-Ultra would be extremely hard to without accidentally doing a K-Focus.
Hey, I’m kind of confused whether to post this in this thread… or the other sticky. But anyways… as Ken, I have a really hard time dealing with projectile spamming, I just don’t know how to get around it. Every time I fight a spamming ryu/akuma I just get wrecked
Any advice or tips? It just seems like every time someone spams against me, I always end up getting punished for a jump in. I guess yeah, I could work on knowing when to jump in, and when not to, but i’m not sure. Another thing that gets me is that I’m not patient enough. bleeh… hah.
well, some thoughts for getting in is kara-fireball and kara-focus. if you do a kara-fireball then a kara-focus through the next fireball and your right in step kick range, which if you use neutral jumps and the like is a GREAT position to stop the fireball game, your at least in a spot where your more dangerous.
Sorry if this’ been asked dozens of times already, but what’s the maximum number of hits for the ‘not-full’ Shinryuken? I usually get 9 hits when I combo into it from juggles, is it possible to get 10 hits?
Also, is this Ken’s strongest combo into Ultra-
Jumping HP/HK–>St. HP/HK–>Super–>Ultra
Or is there a stronger variation?
Hi was just wondering how you guys deal with people who like to neutral jump and spam attacks like Honda with his HP and ryu with his mk.
I don’t seem to be able to get in to c.mk them when they land and jumping in leads to getting hit out of the air.Sooooo… what should i do?
