Aren’t both the same amount 3 frame start up?

If you are talking about cr lp and lk tatsu no, cr lp has a 4 frame startup since beta 3, tatsu has a 3 frame startup since the same beta.

Got to rank 69 on on friday with rank beat problem X cammy twice 2-0 on the way still i dont like this version of Ken.

i was unable to play after friday because for some reason just like in beta 2 the game started freezing in the menu and extremely low fps drops during V-triggers even though i was using the same settings as on friday i really dont know what is up with that.

Also not having the crush counter state on the first active frames of c.hp is really stupid when i have to counter Karins fullscreen instant overhead with it and cant even convert something so godlike into damage.

I also thought kens overheads were really bad and c.mp into b.mp whiffed alot Ken also seems to be one of the few character that does not have a reliable way to build v-trigger aside from getting punched and kicked in the face.

countering people dashing (cough bison cough) with target combo or waking up with target combo is really cool though.

b. MK is pretty bad outside a situation or 2, but I found thunder kick very decent and you could use it anywhere you had to do dash->meaty as just raw thunder kick for a meaty. It is only -4 so really not too bad and not punishable by some characters.

The crush counter frames are on the first frames since if you hit a grounded opponent counter-hit you get the CC properties. It is the later active frames that dont’ do it which … yeah that is annoying.

So guys I am trying with my offline beta (so still with beta 3 stuff) to do some stuff with his air tatsus. There is no way to make his ex-tatsu cross-up (on v-trigger)? I manage to hit it so you land on the other side but I can’t cross up with it.

I assume you can’t but just to be sure.

His current roundhouse overhead is pretty much the same as the one he had in sf4 before it got its frames buffed except it only does 90 damage now instead of 120 also -4 means pretty much any character can punish it with jab into special i just think the risk/reward is bad i only use it to stun someone or end the round b.mk is straight up garbage,

I still use b.mk occasionally. It’s not very good but it still has good range, so you can use it as a poke of sorts when the opponent is cornered.

I just wish it was faster.

The overhead kicks were so good in beta 2 since you could time them meaty after AA’ing with cr.hp. Conditioning people then mixing them up with F.TK into low short,short,uppercut was such a fun set up.

Yeah but some people had to snitch about those meaties and the Capcom police got wind of them… The nerf to back mk was the first thing i noticed when looking at the early beta 3 frame data dump. It brought a single tear to my eye.

All overheads seem slow as hell across the roster, super telegraphed and easy to see with Charlie’s being the exception. At least we have a feint I suppose. B.MK can still work when you do double jab into it near the corner, if they mash a light you usually beat their hitbox anyway if it’s spaced correctly. I won a couple of games with it, I think F.HK is fucking garbage though, I don’t think I used it outside of input errors.

Yeah the nerf to TK feint is still the thing I understand the least. That shit is just fucked up. 31f? Also 23f startup rather then 21f on TK? Shit used to be so much better and was never gdlk.

OK b. MK combo’s in beta 2 were pretty decent …

Unless there are changes between beta3 and beta4 the turbo method doesn’t produce accurate results. In beta 3 i could punish every srk on block with a cr mp including lp and mp srk.
