A noob question, I’m trying to do Kens trial 11 in AE, How do i go from crouch lk to shoryuken? I end up getting shoryureppa everytime.

Would you guys be up for a online tournament? 16 people best 2 out of 3 single elimination. 99 Seconds Ken only. :wink:

I don’t think there’s a trial that has a cr.LK to Dp but end the DP in the down-forward position.

Maybe, I have very little time to play ever since this year started so it depends on the date and time.

I dont play tekken too much but when i do I use hwoarang, mainly because i love taekwondo haha, but yea, ken and hwoarang looks kinda similar, they both like kicking :stuck_out_tongue:

Ken should be great in SFxTK

st hk on counterhit causes crumple, if it’s as fast as AE2k12 st hk or even better that’s stupid good.
Ex Tatsu is at least +4 on hit, any teleport or raw tag you can get a hit or two on you can than combo into stupid damage. Jump in OS Ex Tatsu on akuma instead of doing 2 hits for whatever dmg could be a 50% combo with full bar. Ex Tatsu, BC launch c.mp x super
c.mk max range chains into st hk so you can go into launcher, super, cross art, ex tatsu after.
cl st mk is jump cancelable.

As for partner, probably Cammy or Chun Li day 1, will look into Lili, Asuka and Nina though. I’m thinking Ken/Lili eventually…

That temporary party game MVC3 currently gets more entrants, more stream views and is shown last as the main event in tournaments. And this is with 2k12 being newer than UMVC3.

I understand that you can set up guarunteed counterhits now as well (start charging your super art, then dash cancel. The next move will count as a counterhit if it connects regardless of what your opponent was doing).

I notice in the old build of sf x TK ken had his knee bash grab. But now they took it out. Any idea why?

Where can you go to check out ken move set for SfXT? Does he have his step kick?

Yes, step kick is still in.

Nah kneegrab is still in, Maximillian who’s a long time Ken player showed it while doing the tutorial with Ryu, said he loved it being back and knew other Ken players will feel the same way.

Forward throw is probably F+LP+LK
Knee bash LP+LK
Back roll B+LP+LK

Ken’s Thunder kick no longer causes ground bounce on a regular hit in sf x t.

I can’t remember how to time stamp youtube vids right now but watch Maximillian’s online match vid.

At around 10.20 ish, he uses and lands a TTK and no ground bounce.

Might still work off the CH so we need to look at set-ups like:

Fierce DP ender, dash cancel his SA (stores CH property for next move), mix-up between FTK into massive combo from cr.lk and TTK on CH for a ground bounce into combo.

Looking forward to experimenting with these ideas.

Kens not really looking that good anymore his only good thing seems to be his tatsu mixups other than that y pick him over ryu? :frowning:

Ya but from wat I seen he does like 400 meterless and the most I seen from ken looks around the 350 range and zonig is still alright especially considering that u can cancel it but its def not as good as sf4 and his normals are still beter than kens and kens still can’t get past fbs. But u no I haven’t played it yet and in every game I always told myself I wouldn’t play bbut I end up doing it anyways

Yes ken feels weird in this version. You get a ground bounce on both OH with counter hit.

Got the game and you’re correct; Kens neutral throw is his Knee Bash!
