Keits All-Brawl Rules, Updated, skisonic Approved. Use these at items events

Damn! Now I feel bad :frowning:

I apologize, sincerely, about the misunderstanding. Hope everything is cool. BTW, love your avatar.

yay I was able to sneak in all-brawl in another group under the guise of unlocking all the songs, hehehe. They already play basically every stage a few we donā€™t play cause we find them boring, but all the OMG the stage just lol killed all of us stages are played a decent bit, we play (turns) on stage choice FFA matches most the time, but yeah they didnā€™t mind it though, they did make me turn off heart, tomato, curry, and fan(after I got all three of them in a corner and racked up 200% damage.), It was so sad, IDK why they couldnā€™t get out, I thought you just DIed towards the persons head and toadstooled them, but I wasnā€™t going to say anything. The end results of the matches ended up pretty much the same, a few characters got better, and a few got worse, but overall, pretty similar placement, fortunately these settings should be staying around for a while. But yeah it was fun and a good break, donā€™t know why people hate it so much.

I regretted entering that particular tournament because I played like shit. But I definitely am glad I tried it. I mean all-brawl as a whole. Before then I used to trash-talk All-Brawl all the time and I realized how lame I was being because I never gave it a try. So then I went to the IRC channel to play some rounds of All-Brawl with Keits. That was a couple months ago.

I hate filling in the blanks on my quotes but I meant All-Brawl becoming the new competitive standard is a joke. Because we already have one competitive standard that is more popular. Thatā€™s all.

Truest statement Iā€™ve ever read. I might sig that

You donā€™t have toā€¦

ā€¦

Iā€™m shy >_<ā€™ā€™

With so many ways to play Smash, why does there have to be only one standard?

On a related but mostly a reason to ask:

All-Brawl is awesome, Keits teach me how to play Wario.

Keits, do you think you can make an All-Brawl tier list? You said that the tiers change. I really want to see if my ā€œSamus is middle-middleā€ suspicion is true.

I need more data, honestly. Anything Iā€™d put up would be best guesses, based on my decent ability to sniff out bullshit and play very good theory fighter. We need more all-brawl players, tournaments, and footage. If you want a best guess list, Iā€™ll consider doing it.

I bet the tier list would change, I wonder if MK would still be top or if it would go to rob or snake.

edit: keits if you do so can you only put up the ppl you have seen played a decent bit in all-brawl up on it, or at least have the ones you are super unsure and placing on near 100% theory in a different highlighter or something.

Iā€™d love that. Thanks dude.

Okay, please note that i think the difference between Top and Low is much much less than that in items off play. Ive seen Marioā€™s run evenly with Snakes, and such. These are not really in order in their particular tiers.

Top Tier:
ROB - Moves up due to spectacular final smash and difficulty in stage counterpicking him.
Falco - Landmaster and Reflector. Chainthrow off the side of walkoff stages. Has some poor stages, but befinits outweigh them and move him up.
Wario - One of the best, probably 2nd or 3rd best, final smashes in the game (next to sonic and rob). Bite move is very useful in items play when removing certain things from play. No counter stages, but must watch out for chain throws off walkoffs.

High:
Snake - Moves down a tiny bit due to being suseptable to stage counterpicks and his matchups get move even or worse when other characters have access to projectiles all the sudden. His final smash is good, but not the best, as well.
Game & Watch - Still really good. Bucket gets a little more use in more matchups. Final smash is decent.

**
High-Mid:**
Wolf - Landmaster and Reflector really help out.
Ice Climbers - Partner item use, chain throws, craziness. They do have some bad stages, though.
Marth - Down a spot. Its harder to zone people with his range and speed if they just refuse to fight until they have ammo to help them.
Pikachu - Its hard to get the smashball from this guy. Really hard. He can take that advatage away from you with very little work. This keeps him strong.
Sonic - He may suck at fighting you, but he doesnt have to. He will get the items he wants first if he is good, and his final smash is godly. Problem is, that sonic isnt good at breaking the smash ball. He practically needs to hold a throwable item to ensure he can break the ball quickly. Great ability to runaway and stall when in the lead. Hard to stage counter as a character, but the final smash can be stage countered.
MetaKnight - Moves down quite a bit. His tools are still good, but his spamable and safe tornado suddenly becomes very risky and or stopable using items. His final smash is very very poor, as well.

Mid:
Luigi - Final Smash is a force, and quick areal moves in all directions help him fight you while stealing the smash ball.
DeDeDe - Speed is an issue when attaining items. Final Smash sucks. Has some tough stage counterpicks. But now can throw items and smashballs out with f+b. Chainthrow off the edge of walkoff stages is a factor here, but it is much easier to avoid being thrown by dedede than it is falco.
Toon Link - Nice Final Smash, doesnt gain or lose much else.
Diddy Kong - Id leave him where he is. Many stages make it harder for him to do his thing, but he is fast and has a very potent final smash.
Donkey Kong - Final smash is good on smash stages, terrible on large ones.
**Lucario **- Final smash is hard to use, floatiness works against him when opponenent is throwing projectiles up at him.
Pit - some stages make his arrows much less usable. final smash is very meh.
Olimar - final smash is very meh. recovery isnt an issue on stages with no ledges, which is nice.
Fox - slowest landmaster, hardest time getting smash ball of three furries, good reflector.
Zelda - Reflector gets more useful. Fireballs less useful, but very helpful in stealing the smash ball.
Sheik - Not much to say
Ike - good at getting smash ball, great final smash.
Kirby - bad final smash, hard time getting ball.
**Link **- Wind Boomerang can bring him certain items.

Low-Mid:
Ness - Terrible final smash, can get ball decently.
Lucas - Terrible Final Smash, but can get the ball decently.
Pokemon Trainer - Good final smash, versatile with items depending on which pokemon, charizard can 1-hit a fresh smashballā€¦ but if you have to switch to a character that is worse off in a certain situation, it just hurts too badly. Still very hard to be successful with.
Bowser - Slow, Final Smash is situational. Stage counters can take away his easy Bowsercides.
Peach - Final smash is reasonably easy to avoid on many stages, and often results in the opponent getting some healing too. Pulling up items is a plus sometimes. Slow, weak 2nd jump make her easy to stage counter.
Samus / Zamus - are hurt terrifically by the switch aftereffect of their final smashes. Both of which kind of suck, a lot. Does very well with battering weapons, though, such as the beam sword.
Ganondorf - Legit ways to setup his final smash, if he can get it.

Low:
Captain Falcon - speed helps him and he has some interesting items to use. Final smash is usable.
Jigglypuff - not much to say
Yoshi - not much to say
Mario - Worst Final Smash? Otherwise okay.

If I could play you in All-Brawl Keits Iā€™d show you that Kirby has more mad skillz than you give him credit for.

Thatsā€¦ exactly what i need to seeā€¦

Kirbys bair is really really good or you can spam final cutter and stone all day like kahar =P.

Kahar has a tendency to try to rush down though without taking into consideration the situation at times. Heā€™s gotten better at it though lol

Kirbyā€™s bair is really good in both no-items and All Brawl, but I like it in All Brawl especially cause if I have a beam sword, and I throw it at you and it hits I can pretty much jump and back air and Iā€™ve caught it almost immediately, setting up a second throw, or multiple throws.

One thing to watch out for as Kirby is you canā€™t really attempt to eat the opponent much anymore. If you try and suck them in, and god forbid an item falls in front of you and you eat it they pretty much have a free attack on you, and if itā€™s an explosive item itā€™ll also explode inside of you causing damage. This makes Kirbyā€™s matchups kind of different as some matchups with no-items are dependent upon Kirby stealing the opponentā€™s power (Kirby vs Snake is a good example. In no items brawl, Kirby has no chance of getting close to a good Snake. With grenades however, his chances arise).

Kirbyā€™s 5 jumps let him dodge final smashes easier, and stone form lets him temporarily be immune (or in Marioā€™s case, completely) to some final smashes.

Iā€™ll try and get more info as nobody here in Chicago has an open mind to All Brawl, so I just have to try out some basic things.

You are in Chicago Daniel? Drive the 3 hours up to Green Bay some weekend and visit me, dude.

Good points about Kirby. Stone form and 5 jumps.

MK mid tier in all brawl? lol oh silly keits tiers are for kids.

Yeah items to take away from spammable tornado but only slightly mk is still very much toptier with items.

I donā€™t have a car D:

Not seeing that in tournament play. Sorry.

Steal one!!!
