Here are some damage comparisons for his optimized launcher/tag in combo’s.
All of these are done from a manual launcher (HK and HP) which does 100 damage.
It’s important to delay the incoming EWGF and do it at the very last second. The cr.HP is very consistent as the spacing is always the same if your ewgf connects.

Launch… st.Hp xx EWGF, st.HP xx EWGF, EWGF** 462 damage**
Launch…EWGF, st.MP xx EWGF, st.HP xx EWGF, EWGF 468 damage
Launch…EWGF, cr.HP xx EWGF, st.HP xx EWGF, EWGF 486 damage (crazy!)
this combo midscreen is a pain to do i can get up to the final st.HP but it whiffs must be very tight on AA. OTGF>EWGF levels i think but it should be doable
for the starter-
of St.HP has pushback of about 2 sqaures whereas cr.hp is 1 if st.hp is possible as a starter the combo it will be at least twice as hard as the cr.hp edition when it comes to juggling, it should be possible to do i think its just timing specific not necessarily spacing but ill do some more work when im not feeling lazy and post results
Why is it even being questioned whether it is possible? The st.HP starter works 100%, it’s not like we’re trying to post fake or inconsistent/impractical combos.
(Not flamming here…) I don’t think your completely understanding what’s being asked. We all know you can EWGF from st. Hp.
Also, I don’t think anyone (at least me) is questioning if:
St.hp > EWGF > EWGF > cr.hp > EWGF > st. Hp > EWGF > EWGF
Hits outside of the corner.
What’s being questioned is how consistent it is. I have yet to see it hit, let alone with any consitentcy. I can hit every other EWGF combo listed on the front page regularly. But, this combo has not been hit by anyone with any consitentcy.
No one is accusing anyone of lying. We are the same team. But, the name of the thread is the BNB tread. So combos and strategies listed, need to be consitent and dependable. As of now, the combo listed is neither.
If a poster says otherwise, the burden of proof is on them. So, all I am asking for is to see visual evidence of the combos consitentcy before I list it as a true BnB combo. The last thing I want is for someone to practice and spend hours practicing a combo only to find out it is not very dependable. I think that is a reasonable point of view to take.
This is the Internet, just because someone says something, doesn’t it make it true (or false for that matter). It just means we ought to ask for proof before accepting either.
There is a trick to connecting the cr.HP… After the first ewgf, inch forward slightly and do the second ewgf at the last possible moment, just before it would whiff. It’s just tricky timing (See how delayed the second EWGF looks in the video. I agree you probably won’t be seeing it in matches and I won’t be using it outside of combo videos or theoretical max damage discussion. Case closed…Hopefully

IM(very)HO, I feel the current mid-screen EWGF BNB (st. Mp) , is more consitent/ reliable for an in-game combo. But, your vid is awesome and I want to put the most accurate information out there.

Interesting, didn’t think of the inching forward part. Gonna give this another go tonight and see how consistently I can do this (maybe bust it out in a match soon).

I never have. It always seemed like it’d be too risky – not a fan of learning to do things in a way that could cause me trouble. Accidentally doing EX Rising Uppercut didn’t seem appealing to me at all.
Agree. Accidentally doing something else while plinking for an EWGF is risky. I don’t plink. But I believe those who plink can also train it so well tat a mistake rarely or never happens.

Okay, so Kazuya has a “standing reset”
(ground bounce): hk rising sun (qcb+hk), cr Mp(or st.Mp)
This can combo into his best 5xewgf combo. It definitley works in the corner and does 510 damage, possibly making it his most damaging meterless combo. I’ve tried midscreen but Keep missing the last ewgf. Hopefully “FullAutoDeath” can confirm whether it works midscreen.
Given how powerful ex slaugther hook is, this could prove incredibly useful. Doesn’t seem to work on the smaller characters
