Shit man. After practicing that cr. HP midscreen combo, I’m gonna give up and go back to st. mp. It’s consistent enough on large characters but I can only do it 2/10 on Xiayou.

Nope, that was the sound bug patch. Capcom just announced the infinite removal patch, they’re waiting for MS’s approval for release.

ah i see makes sense also i remember hearing that MS charge 40,000 USD for patches im not sure if certain types are exempt but i think it makes sense why the capcops are in the red

s.HP xx LP Slaughter Hook, cr.HP xx HK Rising Sun, s.MP xx Mist Step xx EWGF, EWGF, s.MP xx EWGF, s.HP xx EWGF, EWGF did 515 midscreen. Couldn’t get cr.HP to connect but didn’t test all that much. Doesn’t feel like it can though

Edit: Nevermind, just got cr.HP to connect. Will test it later

I think We’ve maxed out Kazuya’s midscreen damage at 508 from a st.HP and 530 from a jump in.

I believe we’ve also maxed out his optimized launcher/tag in combo at 486 from a manual launcher.

Time to start playing some matches!!!

Remember, a bunch of his chains and all of his normals (apart form cr.HK and st.HK) can cancel into ewgf. Conncect with any of his normals and you should be looking at 440 -500 damage all day long.

Your partner should be poking around, looking for cr.mk into manual launcher or setting up a tag cancel for Kazuya’s optimized tag in combo for 400-600 damage.

In other words, once your execution is perfect, ranked matches should be lasting all of 15-20 seconds :slight_smile:

So EWGF works great as an anti air, but the main problem I had with it was that at closer ranges it whiffed. However, after some training mode I saw that s.LK is very reliable at this range, and gives you a combo on counterhit. With s.LK for closer ranges, EWGF for middle to longer ranges, and cr.HP to stop crossup tatsus, I think it’s about time people stop saying that Kazuya has bad anti airs.

The best I was able to get was CH s.LK, cr.HP xx EWGF, s.HP xx EWGF, EWGF for 380 damage.

Have been a advocate of standing lk for a while seems like it has good priority for some reason. Also close jump in attempts I find walking forward works really damn well also ex qcb+ any punch works equally well little tough to time though.

Sigh, walking under… I got sick of Jin’s jump ins today and decided to walk under and make sure I would at least block it as a cross up. Somehow, I still get hit, he lands in front of me, and combos ftw.

The reason I wanted to find a solution other than walking/dashing forward or mist stepping under a close jump is because you lose your positioning. If they are close to the corner or in the corner and they jump over you while you dash under, they just escaped the corner and put you in it for free. Can be very annoying when you spend a good amount of time getting them there only to have them reset the positioning so easily. I’d much rather punish them for their attempt in some way than reward them for it. Too many people trying to jump for free in this game as it is. =/

I hear ya man, everything is very situation dependent you obviously have to go for a different option as to not put yourself back in the corner. I have been doing walk forward and reverse ewgf people dont expect it works really well if you can rip them off fast.

Well here’s a combo I came up with, if it wasn’t already performed by anybody else.
s.LK > s.LP > s.MK > Slaughter Hook.L > s.LP > s.MP > Demon God Fist.L - 8 Hit Combo
