I don’t think Sanford was at the Rhode Island tournament. If you’re watching Sanford vs. Josh Wong and Sanford vs. Nestor, you’re probably watching NEC videos from last December. If Sanford vs. Josh Wong shows C groove E.Honda messing up everybody and the match ending before Sagat is dead then it’s definitely NEC. If Sanford vs. Nestor shows Sanford hitting Bison with down mk -> super when Bison does the one hit scissor kick then it’s definitely NEC.
EDIT - I just checked the empirearcadia linked to by TFGM in the Rhode Island results and it claims Sanford was “deployed” ahem to Chinatown Fair that day.
Holy shit sista… calm down! lol, I’m just saying that this setup isn’t somthing I like mainly because many people cannot play at their best and it creates a bottle kneck for player skill. Think about it, Capcom goes first, Allyn/Ben/Tony/Brandon/You picks Sagat. Honestly, if anyone picks anything LESS than Sagat, their dead. Straight up, I’ll be dead. I know, I should learn some top tier shit and what not, but for real, my tourny setup way back when got dissed to hell and back before I could even fix it and resubmit it. Perhaps it’s just my own personal friendly-beef with allyn and ben to fight their absolute best durring a tourny setup. They know just as well as I do that they, along with myself, do not play at 100% untill tournys.
But hey, to one, their own. So before misunderstanding me and flaming me, get the facts straight: I’m not dissing anything, I’m just saying what I feel and what I feel is that I don’t like how this tourny is gonna go down.
On some points i do agree with KK my best characters are all capcom C-Vega Blanka Sagat(2). i also like this idea because we are going back when the tourneys were a toss up you dont know whos gonna take it someone might suprise you. this is our last tourney for while i just want to have fun, i really got nothing to prove anymore except getting victories on oahu. i also see were dom is coming from, id be pretty pissed if someone starts dissing something im really into. i know dom is working very hard to make this tourney great. i think i gave the tourney rights to the right person. whoever wins this tourney is well deserving, so prove yourself and make the rules for the next one.
it was sanford vs nestor, nestor was beasting on sanford with C E Honda. nestor was also using A groove. Sanford ended up beating him in the last round good shit sanford’s Sagat is a beast. Sanford vs. josh wong was pretty good. Josh was using K-Cammy haomaru and sagat, sanford using C-ken blanka sagat. i also got sanford vs julian robinson that match was fuckin awesome.

if any of you have any gripes and or complaints…i’ll take it. Dom asked me for ideas on what to do. I said to mix it up. keep it fresh. look at it this way, guys like david, terry, john, kirk, and whomever else will have more of a chance this way. we wanna keep this game alive for as long as we can. if it was always a 1-1-2 set up with whomever we want, it’s ALWAYS gonna come down to the select few people who basically play the most. AND WE ALL KNOW WHO THEY ARE!!!
true kk. playing your best is always how it should be. but why would different stipulations make any difference in how you play? you should always play your best even if the odds are stacked against you! Like how earls tourney unfolded. you had three chars left and i had two. you definately had the upper hand that time but i played my best. and as i can recall it was a cap/snk battle. i had sagat/rock and you had morrigan/hibiki. what was the prob then? you were playing your best weren’t you? but also about razzle dazzles tourney. how many gripes were there about the rules and how it was gonna get run? there was a shit load and it still wasn’t clear till tourney day. this time the rules are set. one CAP and one SNK. 2-2 set up in any order you wish. no subs for chars. the ones you pick is the ones you stick with. as in BEST. as in how you should play! and dom’s right too. if you don’t like it…don’t play. that’s the same way we felt in earls tourney. i know you know cause you helped set it up! all in all we are there to have fun. it is just a game after all. so once again…any gripes come to me!!! i got no problem dealing with it. sorry for the long post and BEN IS GAY.
