Are you sure it’s even on back tech? I thought I was getting meaties, but it wasn’t exactly an exhaustive test.
That said, I would not go for any setup that can get you DPed on a quickrise, as you will get DPed or Supered on reaction. I mostly did the JLF JLF or VSkill ender for my combos unless I had the standing confirm for the RP.
For no getup you do have to time it a bit and I’m not sure what the exact frames you need are. Basically it’s an auto-safejump on quick, meaty on back (will have to doublecheck), and timed safejump on delayed.
Yeah i did Karin vs Karin and the c.LP’s trade. Can test by doing recording the setup and neutral jumping after, then neutral jump after you quick tech.
Just put it through the wringer. Its negative on back tech, atleast -2. Definitely wont be getting any meaties here, theres barely time to block the wakeup jab. No-getup timing has to be done manual as well, in which case youre better off just chasing after the qcb+k ender and manually timing a meaty/throw 50/50 for whichever and avoid a -2 situation.
Thanks for sharing some tech though (i didnt even know v-skill combo’d after launcher), happy to test anything else. Just glad to be talking about gameplay instead of Karins face.
It’s about pressing the button, not doing the jump. At least in SFIV if you press a button in the air you have a 2 frame recovery on the ground. If you can react to the backtech and not press a button (which I’m not sure how viable that is) then you’re +2 and thus have an easy meaty.
That would be interesting to find out. I thinkcertain command normals are one of the few normals that still weren’t able to be VTC’d. I know you couldn’t VTC Chun’s overhead.
