I hype her v trigger lasts a good while like bisons or birdies would suck to learn all her rekkas strings and only be able to get one off per match lol
Not quite Bison duration but still good, and also a lot easier to build.
Base duration seems to be about 35 seconds, so you’re not realistically going to get lamed out. Each rekka takes off parts of the gauge, but not a lot except the sway.
Also, I mentioned this on the last page or two, but I want to make sure people actually want it. I know some people like the simple thread titles and don’t say anything about it, I lean that way a little but I’m not going to hold it hostage or anything. Main thing I think is that the character name should go first.
Karin looks pretty hype I’ll tell you, I love her design, a snob little rich girl but that can kick some ass, even though I’m not too interested in her playstyle, I’ll definetely give her a try, gotta be fun!
Hmm the the main thing that worries me about her rekkas is that there isn’t really any pushback on the first and 2nd hit of the rekka. In A3 spacing your rekkas correctly was a huge part in keeping your rekkas relatively safe, but now when you do rekkas you always seem to right up next to the opponents face.
Well in Darkstalkers characters can attack while dashing to cancel out the dash. If you’re quick enough with it you can combo into another dash to keep the combo or blockstring going with characters like BB Hood and Lilith. I.E Dash lp crouch lp, standing lp into dash lp again. In one of the game plays. it looked like Karin dash into a series of crouch lks, then dash again and canceled into a grab. It’s something that is often done with BB Hood in Savior. Pressure them with dash strings then dash into a command grab. If Karin plays like that, I’d be so happy I don’t know what I’d do!
Thats more what Ken is in this game. Karin has a command dash that can cancel into certain canned moves; the uppercut or the tetsuzanko. If you want to do anything else you need to wait until the command dash is fully completed.
Wasn’t this pretty much the case with every character we’ve got so far? They show a new character, he or she is somewhat unfinished, and as the time goes they get polished further
I don’t have a problem with it being slightly negative, as I think most rekkas are on block. I just don’t want it to be punishable on block is all, considering they require the use of an expendable, time-limited resource. If they are punishable, the second string should be a delayable, fast attack that can be used for frame traps. If neither of those are the case, her sway should at least cost the same amount of matter as everything else, since while safer than her old counter, it doesn’t actually scare the opponent from throwing out a jab or fast medium normal.
