A concept of Karin’s VTrigger as an oki/pressure tool.

These setups look really strong, but if you try to bait an invincible reversal with the command grab and they just crouch block wouldn’t you get punished?
@Unsung_Hero Yes you would. That’s just a read. There is also a possibility to mess the opponent’s inputs, since you cross them up (e.g i got Necalli’s ex command grab once and got grabbed by Karin’s qcflp>up k.Don’t count on it though lol).
Just saw Shine pull off some of that shit. If there’s anything I can learn from him and this video, it’s the utility of Guren Ken and how it’s so much more than just a combo extend. Good stuff.
I recorded the Dummy to do a reversal jab on block recovery, and I have been experimenting with this
Note that the “Reversal” sign doesnt come up. Which means either the block recovery feature isnt working, or I am doing it wrong
In any case, you know you have the right timing if the audio cue from the blocked attack “stutters” ie: you hear the block sound start and then a micro second later it starts again. Hope this helps
Lets say I have all the meter in the world, what’s the best combo dmg wise to do if my opponent is stunned or if I land let’s say a jump in medium kick.
Also, what’s a good way to setup critical art? Currently I just throw it out kinda randomly if I think it will hit or if I hit Reshenna
Also loving how damn EASY the combos are in this game compared to pretty much every other SF, it was never my strong point.
What I’m posting for though is to ask for some advice around the timing of c.lp x jft and c.mk x jft
Everything else I can do, but im still really really inconsistent on this, I think I might be trying to do it too fast, is anyone having problems too? Or can someone break it down for me?
JFT+V-Skill into safe jump don’t work on Necalli LP DP,just sayin’.
After struggling with her JFT into Orochi combo for 2 days I get the timing now, but it’s hard to do it consistently so I go for 100% sure damage and better positioning combos. Thanks to Sako I found st.Hp really interesting as a shimmy move: after a blocked st.mp/cr.mp,the one pass back into st.Hp simply beat a lot of things in CH. After that you have a ton of time to hitconfirm into shoulder or jft. Against forever crouching opponents even st.mp on block into lp Ressenha could be a good opener sometimes, even if the st.mp hits the lp Ressenha will combo. Can be useful if used rarely 'cuz would be unexpected.
So how do you do a “perfect” orochi so i can get the frame trap after s.mp? Also any meaty combos after normals? I know c.mp, s.hp works on CH but i dont think it does after a meaty.
I do 2362 and then tap Lk with my thumb and Lp with my index finger (on arcade stick), you want to do it so your are getting the Lp immediately after the Lk
Meaby you guys would like to see this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DVoQfxOI1c
I think some of this stuff can be implemented into matches, like the meaty overhead into a combo or the double fully charge v skill
Now this is worth doing. especially if you can chose to stay in front sometimes. Also how are you getting ex tenka into ex orochi to hit after the JFL qcb lk bnb?
qcb lk into ex blah blah is super easy. You have to be mindful of your distance. If they are far, just let the ex dash carry you further and tenka. Orochi is as fast as possible.
