Ben, thanks for linking to the tournament thread. I’m fairly sure I answered all questions regarding it on there, but if anyone has more, post them on the tournament thread.
Regarding a team division, It all depends on time, and setups. Lots of setups = fast ran tournaments = we can probably do a SFIV teams division. Hell, we can probably do teams in a couple games if there’s enough setups. We have 8 hours from start to finish to get these tournies going, so it shouldn’t be a problem. I may even be able to squeeze more time for them, depending on a few factors.
ExMortis - Yeah, at my hookups we ALWAYS play Guilty Gear. Next to SFIV it’s one of our two most played games. (We used to play Tekken exclusively, and now we barely get to bust it out at all…my how things change.) We always have 2 setups going, usually one has SFIV and one has GG, but we’re open to people bringing a 3rd one.

I see that Marvel is fully unaware of the characters that should be played in MvC2, the trailer focuses on the two franchises flagship characters.
I’d play Marvel online if there were no lag (something I very highly doubt will be possible with this game). But it still would be care-free fun rather than serious.
The major upside here… is that with Marvel coming to Xbox, I now have a reason to get a stick for the Xbox, which then means I’d likely get SF4… sooo there’s that.

This is obviously a bait but Ill bite anyways. Guile can be lots of fun to play with. You just really have to have down his throw timing, manage you ex meter like an accountant, know your cancels, execute them perfectly and pretty much forget to even try to use his ultra until you get a crumple stun on your opponent. A lot of work and quite a challenge. Which is probably why so few main him in SF4.

Awesome, all 56 chars from the get go! Half the reason I stopped playing on DC was because my mem cards got wiped. Also, PSN demo this Thursday. I think I may just d/l it and the full game when it comes out. Perhaps well see a MVC3 using TVC engine soon? One can only dream. At this rate, Im half expecting an HD remix of Alpha 2 or 3, lol.

Luigi- Just about every Guile I’ve played does the same shit- runaway sonic boom, then mash sweep if you get too close. I’ve let the occasional player get away with it, but the last few have been getting punished hard (how you gonna spam that shit when I have meter+ultra :wgrin:)
Also, I think we need to have a big hookup Friday night, should give everyone a chance to test their might against the STL “kings”. Just a matter of who wants to host more…
Unfortunately, looks like stl will not be in until saturday. I just asked them if they would like to have a hookup after, tho.
